Am I the only one who hasn't figured out how to post youTube links? Google and searching the forum hasn't helped. Everyone else seems to be able to post links with a nice preview, but mine just end up as a vanilla link. Seems I've tried everything obvious but nothing works. Using a mac (Mojave and/or Catalina) with Google Chrome browser if that makes a difference.

Congrats - and a great price! Mine was £269 and even that's £20 cheaper than many.
Hate to say it, but at £227 there are a bunch of bass pedals that are equally or more expensive and gonna be a lot less fun!
How / what are you planning on using it for?
I figured at £227 - why not? I had the original TR-808 in the 1980's and I've been without an analog drum machine since i sold my TR-606 and Jomox Xbase-09 a couple of years ago. Like you said, cheaper than a lot of bass pedals. I'm weighing up whether to buy their SH101 clone too.
Heaven knows where it will fit into my current sound lol

Very nice. Checked out the original track that has been sampled, and in my mind this builds and improves on it.
There is also a 'Tiny Desk' concert on the tube featuring this which is worth at least one watch - with a full live band.

You don’t charge VAT on second hand items as the tax has already been paid. Same deal with cars as instruments...
you pay VAT on the profit, 20% of the difference between the dealers buy and sell price.

If I was considering releasing anything, I'd spring the extra and get 2-300 vinyl LPs pressed rather than CDs. You'd be better off buying into an ascending format rather than something thats only played by people over 55!

Bought a Fender electro acoustic guitar from them a couple of years ago. No issues, came double boxed, plenty of bubble wrap - arrived on time. Was a very keen price I seem to remember.

Next in line will probably be the Blues Junior and one of the Blackstar 10W jobbies (if only to see if they sound as much like Marshalls as people are saying). With great respect to everybody who's taken the time to post here, I'll be surprised if I need to look beyond those three.
My daughter won a Blackstar Artist in a competition. A/B'd for 1/2 an hour with my Blues Jnr to decide it's not 'the sound in my head' (as the adverts say) - so it went on eBay as quickly as it arrived. Saw a Fender Pro Jnr in decent nick on a facebook group earlier today - £250 and a BJ for £300.

Blues Jnr and some cash? - or is the BJ too big?

My middle daughter (average height, arm length etc) started out at 7 with a 3/4 size Squier Strat. It was the perfect introduction for her. We did spend quite a bit getting it fettled so it stayed in tune. Once she'd had it for a couple of years, was regularly playing & serious about it, she invested her pocket money in a full size USA Strat deluxe plus when she was 9. She plays in a band with other (much older teens) now, and has even taken up bass (now 10 she manages a full size 4h Stingray). She picks up an acoustic now and then, but her tutor teaches her the RGT syllabus for Electric. You need to make it fun for them, find a teacher that your kid can gel with & by the time they are in their mid teens they'll be the coolest kid in the school. If your kid does take up electric, invest in some good ear protection too.

I hear that boxes of peanut dust work wonders, well that's what Chabuddy G did for Kurrupt FM & they never had complaints about noise.

Literally every track he touches, turns to dance floor gold. This is my favourite at the moment

Gene Perez is THE man. I would go so far to say that Masters At Work (Louie Vega and Kenny Dope), would be nothing without his contributions to their millions of hits and remixes.

Congratulations, although you might not have time/energy to play at first! My musical output is 10% of what it was before kids, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Squier is OK, but you should deffo look at the Sire jazz. 2nd hand they compete on price and are a whole other kettle of fish.
Yeah - what you save on the purchase price you lose on the Osteopath bills!

No, if it was bought online. But if its simply unwanted, you are responsible for the return postage (and they can't impose conditions like to use a particular, expensive etc courier - it just needs to get there, so you can choose).
It does need to get there, in one piece, and you are responsible for its well being on it's journey back.. so you might be wise not to choose the cheapest courier!

I've got a copy of 1.6.3 that I bought. I'll see if I can activate it later, and if the company is no more and it was free before they disappeared, no harm in sharing it!

If anybody is on Mac, I use a tool called RiffStation - it's specifically designed for this job. Will even do most of the transcription for you (shows you the chord fingering etc). Brilliant bit of software & I think it's free nowadays

Ebay scam?

He probably doesn't want to pay final value fees. They only let certain people have the £1 selling fees offer, it's not for everyone.. but it does sound a very dodgy way to do business. Cant you collect for cash? Even if it was legit, what corners do you think he would cut on packing a bass for shipment.
