Thanks for the help guys, yeah i want the C to feel like the standard E in tension. At the moment it keeps getting magnetized to the pickups when i rest my hand to play higher notes! lol Where can i buy single strings? Cheers
-
I tune my jazz bass down to drop D and down half a step. This makes my low E string (C sharp) very floppy. I currently have warwick reds with a gauge 45-105. What gauge strings should i use? Any particular brand? Cheers

Hi, i have a hartke model 2000 200watt bass amp and a hartke transporter 410. This set up is very laud and very light. The head has a 10 band graphic eq, compressor, low and hig contour controls, a tube and solid state pre amp and two seperate inputs for a passive and active basses. The head is mounted in a fully carpeted hard case. The cab has four 10" aluminium speakers, front ported and is rated 300 watts at 8ohms. As i said befor it is very light. I am selling because i am gassing for a bigger set up. I want £300 for the lot but i am willing to seperate them. Next up are the pedals. I have... MINT DOD STEREO PHASER IN THE BOX. £60 PRICE STILL ON BOX. SOLD a boss ODB-3 bass overdrive, SOLD an Ibanez SB7 bass synth/auto wah SOLD All have the origional boxes. Finally i have a Maplin power brick which can power 5 effects pedals. SOLD Cheers -
Nice board mate, quality pedals on there. The finish on the SUB looks very cool too.
you reckon? i just checked eBay UK ended auctions aswell, there was about 3 PS-2's ranging from 45-50 quid ended. I'm in two minds whether to get one or not.
Id personally wait for the ps-3. Have a read on harmony central at the reviews to help make your mind up.
Is the arpeggiator any good on them joe? if so i might want one.
Yeah thats one of the main reasons i want one, also might work cool as a whammy. How much will they be?
-
BassManKev, where did you get your PS-3? I cant find it on the net anywhere! I want to try one out because the arpeggiator sounds perfect for my new band. How much are they?
-
the muff has 2 extra tone toggle controls, which makes it range from an overdrive to a fuzz, has a super bright blue led, and a 9v power supply. the pitch shift delay has an awesome arepgiattor (spellllling) effect, delay equal to a dd-5's delay, detune and chorus effects. pitch shifting on it isnt the best feature it has, not that accurate and digital sounding, but i do like it, but i use the sb1 and ub1 from octave down/up effects respectivly. i may buy an expression pedal for the ps-3, turn it into a more versatile whammy type pedal
The PS-3 sounds cool. do you have any samples of the arpeggiator? Is it any good?
-
Cool board BassManKev, what are the mods done on the big muff? Hows the pitch shift delay? any reasons why you chose it over a normal delay? Do you have any samples of it?
-
no comment from the lead guitarist then! How do you use yours then? Two 4 ohm cabs?
-
Hi, did anyone buy one of these from sound control at the huge reduction in price? How are people getting on with them? How do they sound? How do they compare to other similar spec heads? Cheers
Good work chaps (and nice playing Higgie!). That's the sound I want to get! How much is a Prunes and Custard?
They are £159 from machine head. I get a nice synth sound out of my depth charge, octoplus and the space chorus. Would the prunes and custard count as a synth pedal?
-
I use them all in a set too. They all have a purpose otherwise they would not make it onto the board.
