Not so much at the moment!, selling two bases on eBay at the moment, so ill be posting loads of basses, including the music man ive just swapped. i'm only suggesting the trade as i not yet attached to the stingray yet! and don't mind a swap plus like black. What year is yours?
It was born 07/25/05. What about yours? Have you any pictures?
Very good point!, If it were a 3EQ i would swap with you, (i happen to have a natural stingray with black pick guard). ide really miss the extra 3rd band. :/ are you far from Portsmouth?
No mate, why do I sound like a sailor? From Cardiff. As I am sure you know there is still some debate as to what you gain with the extra EQ though.
But blacks the nicest colour!!
Ha!Ha! But not for me mate. In a past life I was a carpenter, and for me paint kills the unique look of wood. All painted basses look the same, but there are never two grains the same, rather like snowflakes.

The deal is done. For Sale. My beloved Musicman Serial number E47642 completed on 07/25/05 It is a 2 EQ Sting Ray, Black with maple fretboard. Has the usual few small very light knocks on the headstock ( see image.) however the neck and body are like new. Only thing I don't like about this bass is the colour. Have been looking for a Natural/Maple Stingray but nothing doing so have decided to sell bass in order to buy one. Comes with Hard Case. Was £750.00 now looking for £700.00 plus shipping.

Slap Away. Sorry guys and gals. This has not been transcribed too well. It is a12/8 tune so where 2 quavers are written, it should be a triplet/swing notation ie. a crotchet followed by a quaver.
Sorry I don't know the make of it, there's no labels and I've never even seen another like it. I bought it a few years ago from a guy off here for the SUB I had at the time, then later on by chance bought my 'ray off the same guy, sold the SUB and kept the case for my 'ray. Later when I was looking up past owners of my 'ray I realised it was originally the case that went with my 'ray and I'd unwittingly reunited them. It's a wicked case - incredibly light (I think it's constructed with some sort of dense polystyrene) yet totally strong. You know the instant you hit it with sandpaper a natural one will come up on here. btw I saw your 2 for 1 offer. You'd have more success just going for a straight sawp - your black/maple/2eq (arguably the most popular combo ever) for a natural 'ray. As it is you are limiting your options by trying to get someone to part with money and end up with potentially one bass they don't want/need.
Cheers for the advice about my two for one offer, didn't even think of it in those terms have a a few offers for the Stingray but its cash I also need, if no offers by Monday I am planning to remove the post. Cheers Ron
there's a thread on the EB forum at the moment from some guy who did the same to his SUB. The SUBs are made of poplar, but it still looks really nice. I'd say go fer it!
Cheers for the info, will check it out.
It may look somewhat like mine (which has a bit more figuring than some)... .. or it could look quite plain. But you do realise you will be knocking a couple of hundred quid of it's value.
Not bothered about the loss in value. And I do realise the figuring may not be very good. Tried trading the two basses in the image above for a Natural Stingray, the Sandberg and Stingray, with hopefully a bit of cash my way to make up the shortfall in value, but as yet no takers. Tell me what is the make of your Gig Bag? Not seen one like that.

I have an 05 Musicman Stingray black with a maple kneck, love all there is to love about a bass except the colour. Been in contact with Ernie and he says that the body material is Ash so was contemplating stripping the finish off to go natural. Has anyone tried this with a musicman? and if so what was the grain like. I know mine is unlikely to be identical but I maybe about to open a can of worms so some advise would not go amiss. I would prefer two blondes than a blonde and brunette.

Straplock body screws coming loose..?
wal4string replied to bubinga5's topic in Repairs and Technical
Ok the strap locks a keep coming loose on my bass..i mean the screws that hold em on to the body of course....what can i do? ive heard of the matchstick and glue method but can some one explain or send me a link? cheers!!
Hello Bubunga5, I know who you are. Hey but you know where I live, DOH! Had the same problem and I came to the conclusion it was the Straplocks, I found the Ernie Ball to be the best as it allows a full 360 degree turn of the nut and all others simply don't. -
Have amended my post. As regards a trade, now only looking for a Musicman plus any shortfall in cash there maybe, but not expecting the full £1500 in value.
A collision or impact; A raised protrusion on the skin such as a pimple, goose bump, prayer bump, lie bumps, I.E.
Just noticed how green my Teal looks in my avatar from the camera flash and with the Blue Pearl 5 making it even greener looking. It looks way less green in the flesh.
Phyco is a cool guy and deserves a well deserved BUMP for a really cool bass.
