My Yamaha Attitude LTD II (Limited edition 25th anniversary Sea foam green!) Too many memories, and such a special bass to me. First gig was with this one! First demo, hundreds of firsts, Also seeing Billy Sheehan playing a Seafoam Green attitude much like mine (but his is "The sister" with pickups matching the pickguard) is what made me pickup the bass! I truely love that bass!
Couldn't agree more, only picked one up a few years back and it's the only bass that feels amazing in the hand and sounds just HUUUUGGGEEE without having to add a Pre amp. Just to think I was going to sell her a few months back :/ Now thinking about it wished I was back in a band playing it again.

Ok so now the body has been sold to a fellow basschatter the neck is up for grabs, I know there was a list of people after this but I have deleted my inbox thinking that I would only sell as complete, sorry about that If you fancy a Status Jazz neck then I will let this go for [s]£270[/s][s] £260[/s] £255 including postage - Paypal if you pay the fees or bank Transfer is fine.

Great Person to deal with, smooth transaction and swift comms.

Cheers for the response, I am starting to think a Pre Amp in the Bass such as Audere / East / ACG may be the best option, I use distortions a lot but never found graphite and distortions to match well so may keep this bass clean. Nothing like a clean sounding Jazz Status bass and with the Pre it may be a better option.
A good while ago, someone (Crazykiwi?) recommended Bartolinis for a graphite necked bass I think.
Yes I did hear good things about these and maybe Wizard 84s hmmmm decisions
Easy - use Status pickups.
Thanks but I have had them before, not really my tone, clear and bright, I prefer a darker thicker sound.

In the process of building a status necked jazz but cant think what pickups to install, i know the neck will give a bright sound so would like a warmer pick up to compensate. Any ideas?

Fender Mexican Jazz Bass Upgraded PUPS and Varitone

Recently swapped this bass with a fellow bass member and although I like the bass tones I am not a rosewood neck fan, I was going to remove the neck and replace but it probably isn't cost effective to do so. So was just seeing if anybody want to buy the whole bass. The pickups are Cat Whiskers and sound quite vintage sounding not too hot but certainly a lot better than the stock mim. The Varitone control plate brings the bass to life with loads of different sounds available. The neck has stickers over dots not to confuse you. and it comes with original pups and control plate, also will be shipped in a hard case. Looking for £375 + Postage - Bank Transfer or Paypal if you pay the fees Maybe trade if you have something nice 4 string fretted, with cash either way.

A great person to deal with, very helpful and friendly, happy with the item too
I think it's something there isnt much of a market for, If I'm honest. I'd expect to see one sell on here for £60, but not much more. All IMO
Oh I better keep it then... it is worth more to me to keep as a spare I suppose the body is where the money is at then :/
I'm actually looking for a jazz neck but I'm not looking to pay that much. It's only for a cheapy P copy so don't want to spend more than £50'ish. Where id you get the block stickers?
They were already on the neck when I traded it
I honestly doubt anyone will give you £150 for mim neck. Even if it's new, it's still the "lowest propper Fender" model. I'd say somewhere around £100 is fair price (just the neck, no hardware). No offense, just trying to help.
No offence taken, just asking just seen it is an 07/08 model, no idea why I thought it was 09, I blame the weather. anyhow here is a pic... oh and the block markers are stickers on dots
Depends how quick a sale you want. The Fender logo is important for some & EBay has seen them go for just shy of £100. That was before the recession though. Depending on condition I'd estimate between £65 - £100
it is an 09 model and basically as new would this make any difference?
Just realised that Yamaha goes stereo. Woah...what does that sound like?!
Sounds huge, especially when you put all the clean bass from the woofer pup into the 12 stack and then route a disortion pedal from the precision pup into the 10s, and you can then add and subtract as much thunder as you so wish
Tempted... http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp...ray_Status.html
Oh that's nice, think a black scratchplate though would finish that off a treat.
