1.
There's plenty of manufacturers offering basses with composite bodies and necks. Take a look at: BassLab Bogart - with Blackstone bodies Emerald Guitars Gus Guitars Miller Instruments Moses Graphite That's just off the top of my head. I'm sure there are more... I'd certainly be interested if these people ever made a bass version.
Amazing help thanks very much
 2. Does any other manufacturer do a complete Graphite body like Status do with their Stealth basses?
 3.
I went from a LMIII to the RH450, and haven't looked back. The LM was a great amp, but not for me - warm and clean, but I was after a more tubey, old-school sound (I'm using a 1515L, no tweeters for me), so I found I was using my Sansamp all the time with the LM to get the sound I was after. Bought the RH450, sold the LM and the Sansamp, job done. I'd say it was possible to get a very clean, warm LM sound from the RH, though, it's just I never wanted to, so I never tried. Was the OP's RH second-hand? Did you clear any EQ tweaks that a previous user might have set?
I know what you mean, I quite like the non coloured sound more of the MB then normally I would add a Pre amp pedal on my board to thicken areas up, but this sounded bad with the RH450, it's more of use what is in the head which is fine but sometimes I liked to add distortion pedals. As I am now in my non playing days I would love to have it all built in so when you play the odd gig you have most of it with you in the head, especially the tuner, that was great. I did clear the EQ and tweaked it again and again but there was just something not right in my ears compared to the MB. Ah well maybe soon I might get to try a RH750
 4.
Darker I would agree with... You might want to try a Stac51 - all the same gizmos as the RH but differently voiced - or try and track down the USB/Midi config utilities for the RH450 to change the voicing that have been circulating on BassTalk...
I looked at the Stac51 but not sure if it worth paying £300 more than the RH450, I would rather go for the RH750 at the same price, USB/Midi config hmmmm interesting might just have to have a look thanks
 5.
Interesting experience... I'm not sure I would characterise my RH450 as muddy, athough it's not as toppy as the Stac51.. It's certainly brighter than my mates Markbass 210 combo.... Is the RH set flat? and have you played with the input gain? Cheers Mark
Hi Mark, maybe Muddy is not the word I meant more darkish tone as in less hi-fi than the Markbass. I ran both side by side in different environments with the same cabs for months, the Markbass sounded louder and less compressed even with the compression turned all the way down on the RH450. I really did try to get to like it but hearing them side by side is night and day, my tone was the MB, depends on your music style I suppose, I just like how the TC thinks of everything.
 6.
RH450 user here. I've never used Markbass but other bass playing friends of mine do. What is it about the Markbass sound that you like? What is it about the TC sound that you don't like? I'm using a Markbass Super Booster on my pedalboard. This has the VLE and VPF on it. I don't know how far it approximates the Markbass head - but going into the RH450 which is set flat, it does sound good. I use the VLE more than the VPF - for a sort of instant vintage.
Hi when comparing them side by side, they are very different, the Markbass is clearer, plays better with an outboard distortion pedal and is very good with the RS cabs but I found the RH450 a bit muddy, very good if you were playing Reggae or Dub but if I wanted that high glassier sound I couldn't achieve it. Not saying the RH450 is bad far from it just a totally different tone.
 7. The sickening thing is I sold mine 2 years ago for £125 was thinking that they were going to be reissued
 8. I used to own a TC Electronics RH450 and a Markbass LMK at the same time, I was originally going to sell the LMK to pay for the TC as I wanted it to match my 3 TC cabs and also the features were amazing, built in tuner / store 3 settings / compressor / para EQ / tubetone. I had all these in various forms on a board in front of me so it saved a huge amount of space as well as lugging around another box. Trouble was the sound from the RH450 was not to my liking, I much preferred the sound of the Markbass as well as the 2 inputs (even though I don't think TC E do such a thing) Now what I am asking has anyone tried or A/Bd a Markbass to other TC Electronics heads? I miss not having all the pedals in the head.
 9. A few years back I had a LTD II on order from a well known UK Music shop, it was £910 Brand New but I waited 5 months, they then phoned to tell me they are out of stock, so I cancelled. A few months later I called back thinking I will try again and they said it would cost me £1450 and 4 month wait. So had to find one 2nd hand, luckily I did but had to drive 500 mile round trip.
 10.
They only seem to go for about £500-£600 second hand which is an INSANE deal/real shame much like warwicks, so hopefully you'll get one! Alot of people buy one as a Sheehan wannabe thinking it will built their chops or something! I just love parts of his tone which is why i love mine (and it feels soooo good to play!) Best of luck man!
They are getting harder to find I had an offer a few months back for my Green Attitude of £750 to my house, when I said that's a nice offer but I don't want to sell he then offered £800 :0 still not selling though
 11.
They were in decnet nick, the one which went locally pained me so much as it was almost mint but i was completely broke And i'm a MASSIVE Mr Big fan Didn't manage to see them though I wanted to go to download but was occupied that week, saw them on the comeback tour in 2009 in london and i've been dying to see them again! People always say its odd i'm a Mr Big fan, considering To be with you was a hit in 1992/1993 2/3 years before i was born! Also, if i see a cheap one you'll have to beat me too it I adore my Attitude, there is little i'd change about it!
I sold mine about a year ago, it certainly was a used beast but had Dimarzio Blade pups and original Dimarzio Woofer, sounded great but played so so well, I wished I never sold it for so low, think I sold it for £200 mind you I do own 2 original Attitude II's
 12.
Im doing far less than I used to - was in a busy covers band (Rock Doctors, used to do the Eddie/Brickies/Blueberry... you know those kinda places) very regularly but the whole scene, original or covers, is very flat now. Left that band about 18 months ago and have barely done anything since, in a band with the bloke who was in Floating Greyhounds basically doing covers again but only one gig in a blue moon. Hence why I cant justify buying this lovely cab
Yep I know them bands well and the venues. I live in the city centre and 5-7 years ago I was playing/watching bands roughly about 5 times a week, venues used to be packed or sold out, sadly I am not doing anything now just waiting to see if it picks up again, nothing more demorlising than playing to handful of people when you put so much effort in. Shame re the cab too if you had the pennies makes a nice praccy/acoustic gigs cab.
 13.
been thinking about a small TC rig for a while but its just not the right time for me... and you live in the Fine City as well! Do you play in a band locally? (For local people!)
Hey, I used to play in bands until September last year, now I have stopped, Norwich used to be a haven for original artists but this last couple of years it seems to have died off dramatically. Do you play locally then?
 14. Bump, this really is an awesome cab, if you have an RS210 or any 2x10 add one of these to fill out the low end.
 15.
If I had the cash I'd have that.
I found the other RS112 as sub to a 2x10 so good that I am keeping one now. It really does even out the sound and give a nice low end.
 16. Bump, this is hard work, I think the prices are fair
 17. Hey I noticed these a while back http://www.accugroove.com/minigroove.pdf and wondered if anybody has tried them, to me they look awesome and my favourite sounding cabs ever have been Accugroove.
 18. Bump, anyone interested, would love a Markbass Cab / maybe Combo if you have one
 19.
Want! Like you have no transport though
Nottingham / Manchester practically neighbours, what about a train ride?
 20.
Ahhh quick update - looks like if USB isn't an option there's an SD card reader instead, so that'll do me fine!
Yes Full media is supported but not at root if you get me, SD card works fine with the camera kit. You will love it trust me.
 21.
Ash, can you hang an external USB hard drive off the iPad?
To be honest I think you would have to hack it, as you would need to see the file management which ipad does not let you see, it can be done but I do not believe an app has been created for this or Apple would allow you for such a thing. To let you know the Camera adaptor kit needs a USB powered hub as I think it is only 10 watts power I could be wrong but Apple reduced this to stop people adding non Apple products.
 22.
Thanks guys, that's actually really what I wanted to hear! - Ash, I hadn't thought about latency and am pleased to hear the iPad 2 is able to perform in that respect. The Xoom looks like a great spec and would be brilliant for 'other' stuff and messing around with. I really like how my Google accounts / Gmail integrate with the OS on my 'phone and it's that which naturally draws me to the Xoom. If I were using the tablet just for surfing, games and documents, then it'd be brilliant. However, even where the iPad falls short in comparison to the Xoom, I think it still well out weighs in terms of it's advantages. I think I'm going to go the iPad route! Steve, Case in point there! - No one is manufacturing hardware like that for any other Tablets. I even thought briefly about using Windows 7 on a tablet so that I could use my current USB hardware - but reading reviews, the W7 tablets are laggy at best and thus I'd be better off sticking to my laptop for the 'bigger stuff'. Anyone know the cheapest place to pick up an iPad 2? AND - is 32Gb enough?
I bought the Xoom to enable flash and have a better experience with the internet, sadly the ipad's smooth scrolling and fast zooming still made me want to use the ipad. The only thing I dislike about ipad is mail, very basic and needs a major upgrade. The new Apogee Jam looks great, they make awesome products, I use one with my Mac and it has no issues, the Irig is ok but the sound quality is poor (due to using the headphone/mic socket) it's ok for rough mixes. Buy whatever you can afford, I have the 64gb and have 46gb of data on the unit, but if you are not putting your itunes songs on then 32gb would be fine.
