Gibson files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection
CalDeep replied to Chownybass's topic in Bass Guitars
Annoying that they sighted electronic music as the problem rather than the 15 year decline in quality and hike in price. Its very sad to see but unfortunately I feel everyone has known this was coming for a good while. -

Hi guys! Up is my Radial stage bug SB2 in great condition. Bought as a spare and turns out my other DI is too reliable! This has been very rarely used. This thing is very very small, requires no power and sounds surprisingly good! Its Radial so its built by a tank. £50 posted anywhere UK http://www.radialeng.com/stagebugsb2.php

Bought a Vintage Ultra from Theo. Paid monday PM and arrived well packed and signed for Wed AM. He was really easy to contact and it was a fast and straightforward deal. What a dude! Deal with confidence Cal

Hi Guys, Up is my Faital loaded Montage Cab - 8Ohm Rated 300wRMS . Montage basically make blank wedge design bass cabs to a similar wood spec to Berg and the like. You then select which aftermarket speakers you want in it. This one is loaded with a Faital Pro PA driver and sounds really really crisp and pure, its really efficient too dont let the 300W put you off! The cab itself is very lightweight (Actually lighter than the Berg EX112's Ive got at the moment). To spec and build this new you'd be looking around £380 and a waiting time. Im after £200 for quick sale. Based in liverpool but can travel around a bit. Happy to sort shipping at buyers expense. Cal

Does my pub band really need 4 PA speakers?
CalDeep replied to solo4652's topic in General Discussion
Does this band leader perhaps have a smaller manhood than he would like, and is compensating by deafening everyone and ruining spines? I think this is definitely overkill. I have played a variety of venues and events in 5 years running a successful events band made up of session dudes, all of these Ive done with 2 high quality 12' tops, and then backline to suit venue (often none, DI'd everything). If you NEED anything bigger than that then Id argue jut hire in a rig for that specific gig. Monitoring and stage noise can always an issue with these things unless you look into In Ear Monitoring (expensive but worth it). -
Sold my Fretless neck to Ovi, beat me down on price with shipping but hey ho, very fast communication and quick payment. No problems. Cal
