Does it go un-milky over time or once it's gone it's start again time?

I was going to suggest what about getting the Tom Petersen (spelling?) signature model from Gretsch as it's still in production. Then I looked and at $13000 I can see why not!

Love the black and natural. Very classy indeed. Great finish job
They're my favourite too. It looks like a Cafe Creme Merci!

The challenge for the week is to get that phrase into a work or social conversation this week.
Even bigger challenge for me, I live in Germany so it won't make any sense to anyone

Given that the mark 1 is just a black (orange, kind of crispy) box, if it works why not leave it as is and use it?
You may start a trend for melty stompboxes...

But that will change Because in the background I've been doing some experimenting and asking around about hardening the wood as part of the final finish process. And I have the answer. It is to soak CA low-viscosity glue into the wood after filling and finish sanding. This effectively 'case-hardens' the surface of the wood. The CA treated wood will then be sanded with 600 or 800 grit to provide a key and also to sand off any raised grain (and fuzzy bits!) that will now be rigid and sandable. Then the nitro primer will be applied, followed by the nitro colour coats and clear coat.
Were you a UHU rep in a former life that you can afford to cover a bass body in superglue?

By Thor's hairy beard Smanth. Glad you're physically OK at lest, take your time over the trauma, don't try and rush things because everyone else thinks you should just woman up over it.

Unglue the fretboard I fear. The new truss rod may be too big for the existing hole.
A professional will be along in a bit to tell you I'm wrong

Will that upper "horn" be strong enough, would a single cut be better? Just thinking aloud.

You mean a Steinberger? 😁
No, it had even less body shape than that. Literally a length of plastic box section.
So now Happy Jack has a Mike Lull 5-string neck...
