1.
I like this one, a lot. Really want to get myself a Decimator some time!
They are brilliant pedals, the amount of noise my setup generated is no more and with no loss of tone whatsoever. Best investment I've made in a long time.
 2. Hi Rich, I couldn't reply to your message for some reason - thanks for emailing those photos, but I'm going with a different colour pickguard now - just wanted to let you know. Cheers
 3. This is the bass I'll be building soon, the body will be coming off an Encore Blaster of the same colour, the rest of the bits I'll be sourcing from here if possible. Haven't decided on the pickups I'll be using yet.
 4. New board and the removal of some pedals and the addition of another calls for a new photo I think Bass -> Boss TU3 -> Barber TonePress -> Dunlop CryBaby 105Q -> Ibanez PD7 -> Boss ODB3 -> Sansamp PBDDI -> Line6 Echo Park -> ISP Decimator -> Amp. Now using a Pedaltrain 1 board.
 5.
Fancy a boss micro br?
I'm all sorted for recording gear, but thanks for the offer!
 6. Hi all, Up for sale is my hardly used Boss SYB-5 Bass Synthesizer. It's a good, fun pedal and I enjoyed playing around with it but I won't use it in either of my bands and I don't have the pedalboard space for it anymore, so it's time for it to go. It has the original box and instruction manual, plus the mode list sticker you can put on the pedal. It's all in pretty good condition apart from a few minor scuffs down the sides. The base is already velcroed with Pedalboard Tape. £55 including postage and it's yours. Collection in Essex also welcome.

 8. Bought an ISP Decimator from Harry, great communication and friendly chap - pedal even turned up next day. Buy with confidence
 9.
Plastic is really nowhere near as weak as internet forums would have you believe.
This. I used to use Behringer's TU300 tuner pedal, and it was so awful (it struggled to tune a low E) I used to give it quite a bit of abuse and stomped on it pretty hard with steel toe caps. Frequently. It still works. As well as it did new out of the box anyway. As for their other pedals I've tried, never noticed any big problems with them and their studio gear has always been pretty good. Just stay away from the tuners.
 10. If my old cab sells (which I'm hoping will happen sometime this week), I'll definitely have this. Failing that, and it's still here on the 26th when I get paid, I'll take it then.
 11.
I know nothing about the Balwin range
Fixed
I know nothing about any guitar or bass, made anywhere at any point in time, ever
The nut on that is atrocious. I feel sorry for the poor person who buys that thinking they're getting a playable guitar.
 12. I'm using Dunlop Stainless Steels on both of my basses at the moment, one dropped to CGCF tuning and the other BF#BE and they've been brilliant, still sounding as good as they did when I first put them on and I'd definitely recommend them. I need to test out DR Droptune strings and see how they are, but until then I'll only use Dunlops.
 13. There's plenty of good condition, reasonably priced hardcases on here at the moment! I rarely buy from anywhere else now!
 14.
Some of my favourite bands don't have a bass player Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode to name a couple but it still doesn't stop me jamming along to them and enjoying their music.
As much as there's rarely live bass on NIN albums, they do have a live bassist, bar some songs where the synth bass is too prevailant, i.e. Head Like A Hole and March Of The Pigs. Although, I regularly jam out Head Like A Hole and I can't imagine why they still relegate the bassist to rhythm guitar for that song. It sounds so good played on an actual bass with a bit of SVT overdrive. Same can be said for *some* pop music out there, there may be rarely bass guitar on records, but I'd imagine a lot of them still use a live bassist - The Veronicas for example, their second album was 95% synth bass, but all the tracks are played live with an actual bass player.
