  1. DEPOSIT TAKEN - SOLD PENDING THE USUAL

Fender Nate Mendel bass  for sale. Absolutely lovely bass.
The bass has had the fret edges rolled by Dave Wilson so it feels much better than the stock version. This is a 2018 model According to the serial number.

Weight is approximately just under 9lbs according to my bathroom scales.
I’m in North Shields, Tyne & Wear. Comes with gig bag as well. Cash price is £825

If anyone has any questions or would like to try it drop me a message.

Trades wise, I could be tempted by a musicman.
I have sold 2 basses recently & have lots of feedback.

I’d prefer a local sale but I may consider shipping to the U.K. only. Or I might meet half way.

  2. Paul just bought my Fender Flea jazz bass. I did initially withdraw it from sale but he talked me round into selling it.
Paul paid straight away & we met half way. Great bloke to deal with, another highly recommended member of Basschat.

  3. Derek bought my precision bass. He's a great bloke to deal with. Very friendly & I had a good crack when I met him & his wife. They came all the way from Liverpool to my place so it was a canny hike. Glad he was happy with the bass & it'll get played a lot more than I played it!

    Cheers - Anth

  4. Has anyone of you had or tried one of these heads & cabs before?
I’ve done a bit of research & the head looks like it’s from 1980 or thereabouts.
There is one of these for sale not too far from me & I was wondering if it’s more of a guitar amp or bass or both. I think it looks like a fender Bassman clone. Also would the 75 watts be loud enough in a band situation? I would presume so as they look like “tube watts”

    Cheers - Anth

  5. Now Traded

    Ampeg SCR-DI Preamp/DI/Drive for trade.

Here’s some info but plenty is available online.

The Ampeg SCR-DI Bass DI Box is a bass DI box, featuring an Ampeg preamp, with a 3-band tone stack, a Bass Scrambler Overdrive, and a sturdy die-cast zinc chassis. The Ampeg SCR-DI Bass DI with Scrambler Overdrive is a true Ampeg preamp, delivering a wide range of Ampeg tones perfect for the stage.

The pedal comes with Velcro attached in the picture. No power supply is included.

As always I’ll do a video demo of the pedal working before I send it off as this covers me & also you’ll get to see it working.

Trades wise I’m after a Tech 21 VT BASS DI but it must be in good condition & have the tin & paperwork/manual with it. I’ll add a pic of that at the end but you all know what they look like I’m sure!

Please check my feedback for peace of mind.

    Cheers - Anth

  6. @Jus Lukin I think the tech 21 VT Pedal comes close to a B15 Sound. I was thinking of getting one & using it with my B15 to see if I can get it any better! I have an Ampeg Scramble DI that I use & that’s pretty good.

I was not generally a fan of relic basses, but I got one of these on a whim in a trade couple of years ago. I was very impressed indeed. Very playable, lovely neck, nice punchy pickups, great tone and the classic dual concentric volume & tone controls. What's not to like. (I added a Badass bridge, and it is now my favourite passive bass)  This is a very reasonable price too. GLWS

Cheers for the comments! Yeah it’s the best Jazz I’ve ever owned & I’ve had a quite a few (Probably about 15 jazz basses over the years!)

Its only for sale as I’ve acquired too many basses! If my Ash P bass sells I might be tempted to keep the Flea.
