  1. SOLD PENDING PAYMENT

    Carl Martin Compressor / Limiter

There’s lots of info on the internet about these

They are about £200 new so I’m asking £90 for mine, that’s collected from North Shields, Tyne & Wear or I can post for an additional cost.
It is powered by a plug & cannot run on batteries.

  2. SOLD

Fender USA Precision bass in sunburst with maple neck. The serial number puts it at 1977 or 78.
It’s in absolutely fantastic condition, comes with the ashtrays as pictured. These came with the bass when I bought it a few years back, The original owner was an old fella who was retiring some of his basses from his collection. I believe it is all original but if anyone wants to take it apart & check for themselves before parting with any money then that’s absolutely fine.
This particular one I’d say is a good 9.5 out of 10 for condition.
I’ll upload some more pictures when I get a chance but here’s one from 2 weeks ago at the Newcastle impromptu bass bash.
Thanks once again to Michael (water of Tyne)  for the photograph!
I’m in North Shields, Tyne & Wear.
    Price is £1950
    Any questions ask away

    Cheers

According to info I have found regarding the date the bass was made here are the details

Your guitar was made at the

Fullerton Plant (Fender - CBS Era), USA in 1978 - 1981

Got a can of LPB nitro from Northwestguitars and just did a scuff finish coat over the existing sunburst with 400 grade paper which was too rough, should have gone with 800. Did 6 ish coats and then  about the same of clear coat. Used tinted amber for the neck 6-8 coats, then clear over that too. Nitro is quite forgiving: any small errors get righted by the next coat which melts into it, luckily for me...!

Hi, do you have any pictures of you LPB 50s bass? I maybe buying one of these to do up. I've had one before, I refinished the neck, reshaped the headstock, put a cheeky logo on & had a pickguard made which was an exact copy of the black guard it comes with as stock.

It was a great bass for the money.

    Thanks!

  5. I got in touch with "Ron" the seller of the bass & He was kind enough to forward me some pictures as I was interested (I would of been had it had a rosewood board!)

I can only presume he may of had some difficulty in uploading them to the for sale thread.

Hope this helps & Ron doesn't mind me trying to help out.

For info, there's an interesting topic on this subject over at Talkbass, here...

Fender Bassman 135 speaker connections (ohm matching) ...

... with some important information, and a pretty complete run-down on the possibilities.

Hope this helps; good luck with the sale. These are really splendid amps, and much desired by guitar players, too..! B|

Thanks for that info mate, it should be helpful to any interested buyers 👍🏻
