Ancient thread resurrection...I've just got one of these, a lovely thing indeed! Can you recommend a gig bag or case for this? (It's a 32" scale but with a jumbo-ish body)?

It's a pleasure to start Laurie's (Dan Dare) feedback. He bought my PRS SE guitar: a very straightforward and very pleasant transaction. Deal with confidence!
Hope you enjoy the guitar Laurie👍

Think you need to reword the voting questions...? 🙂

Took it to rehearsal.
Well, it was a limited editions Epiphone Custom Shop one - not sure what was different aside from the tug bar.
Looks absolutely glorious, but weighs a tone and still has some neck dive (I could cope if I really liked it). The mudbucker was just too dark and thumpy for me.
Afraid I swapped back to my Embassy which is a lot lighter, better balanced and sounded way better.
The band agreed the EB3 looked incredible, but the neck pickup just didn't sound right. Might be OK for a Cream tribute. 😞
Is that a short scale jobby?

Just a thought, Vintage make a short scale EB3 copy - the VS4. I've never played one, but they look decent - Wilkinson hardware too.
In fact, is this reviewer our own @Dood?

Played at The Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne Minster on Friday night. It's a great venue, one of our favourites. A full house too.
It's a long journey from Yorkshire for us and we usually do it alongside other venues in the south west, but due to blo*dy Covid and
reorganizing dates constantly, we had to do this as a stand-alone. Still, worth the hassle. 😊
Blimey, what a trek!

Postage now available. Trades also possible for:
Roland Bass cube RX (or other battery powered amp)
P or J or PJ bass

I do like blue 'n' tort!

Layla - Derek and the Dominoes.
Liked this a lot, despite some of the vocal histrionics from Bobby Whitlock. YMMV.
Clapton is discussed at length on another thread but for me, with one or two exceptions song wise, this is the end of the good stuff he did.

Now off hold as sale fell through. Back up for sale!

Just set up a Secursus account, Article 6.2 (exclusions) of the Shipping Insurance Conditions is a bit of a bummer though,
"ITEMS SHIPPED THAT ARE SOLD/PURCHASED ON AN ONLINE MARKETPLACE BY INDIVIDUALS. ONLY OFFICIAL BUSINESSES WILL BE COVERED." (Their caps not mine).
Pity as they seemed quite relaxed on the usual "guitar must be packed in a hard case" thing.

I second this, Chris is a good guy. I’ve used Mor Music in Fishergate too who I believe now do a collect and drop service. Both were for fairly straightforward jobs mind.
I've used Mor Music too and they're good for set ups. They're on Fossgate, tucked away behind Ambiente.

I've just seen an FB post from Chowny: they're in the process of transferring production from India to the UK.

Sort of related: the first Roxy Music album still sounds like it was dropped from outer space. It's retrospective and futuristic at the same time.
Think I could add "For Your Pleasure" here too.
