  1. I am sellin my Markbass Traveller 2x10 bass cab in good condition and with original box. I might consider some multi-effect pedal plus money my way. Pm me if you need more info. Power handling 400 watts at 8 ohm. Great cab I just moved to Aguilar cab and don't need this one. Used in gigs and no smoking studio, well looked after. I would rather the buyer collect the item or arrange pick up. Matt
  2. I have same problem I can read but really slowly ... I started to learn other melodies (jazz standards and those help me because it is different to what bass line 16ths can be see: on green dolphin street, billies bounce, straight no chaser etc Charlie Parker has Omnibook and he has lots of different rhythms, and also I try trble clef) I guess it might look like those guys that read might look it is so natural but we don't see how much work they put into it, many times is since very young age. Well if we want to get better we need to practice hard.
  3. and play it so many times that those rhythm will be easy to play... that is the way, try to learn it inside out, sou you have it your head and yo don't need to have look once on your sheet.
  4. Google :Transcribe program it is great tool to have when earning new difficult peace. It allows you to slow down track in real time and with original tuning...
  5. Hi, I have rh450 and I had rs212 I tried RS120, I think 12" are really nice and warm. Now I use it with 2x10" markbass traveler and rh450 sound really nice. I have played Markbass CMD and it is awesome so whatever you choose is good If you are playing James Jamerson stuff and finger technique I would go for 12" or 15 inch. Also it does not matter to what you really play on stage unless you miking it up. Also: Tc Rs450 comes with few features like: It is small so if I know that the venue have cab I take head to my gigbag ( I played it trough all sorts of seakers and it sounded grear from Rs 210, rs 212, markbass 210 traveler, pavey 410.. once even plastic pa cab as the venue told me they have cab there). Tube tone (I don't use it so much but it is usefull) Build in compression Build in Direct output ( pre/post) Digital out (high quality for recording) insert efect Headphones output aux in Clarity of tone and punch. You can use 4 o 8 ohm speakers. You have option of using 4 different settings ( very useful if you have different basses I have fretless, passive jazz bass and active passive 5 string and I don't have to play with pre during the gig as you just press button and you have it there). and massive one for me is built in tuner. Sound is really great and it is very powerful for how small the thing is. I only hear compliments. Cons: I think that the knobs are not as strong so if you buy one I recommend to glue them on (I have lost 2 of them) Also get the gig bag for it as it can get scratches easily, however it is build very well and I really play it almost every day and I gig often) I only hear compliments about the amp. Markbass: Size, sound is same Cons: No tuner and no settings, no tube tone ( tube tone is not massive thing but sometimes is nice tool)
  6. I have this feeling too when I am new to something....try to practice improvisation for it every day for 30 minutes (concentrated) without stoping and in a-little while you will be ok
  7. Hi I have RH450 with markbass 2X10 in to trade?
  8. Hi the name of the topic explain my situation we'll enough. I am making bass guitar but later I realised that I been to have 17 mm hipshot b style to be able to fit 5 strings but I have spare nordies dc. I think they are 19 mm spacing and I think there would be too much of a room. I am thinking of fitting in a Dimarzio Ultra Jazz.
  9. You can find many on ebay and if you are lucky you might find some used pickups that are for half price I once found nordstrand here that cost £160 and new are £350. But That is my opinion. For me the pickups are something I like to look for and as in my bass they are most expensive thing. The idea of getting jazz bass pickup and making soapbar cover is good too...
  10. hanks guys yes, it is very exotic for first time obviusly the experienced guys luthiers could do much better than me that is why I wanted to do a copy at first and found woods for a good price. Thanks for comment it is getting there now I need to put bridge pickups and sand it and I will use nitro-cellulose laqor. I really like Fodera MG and wanted to make one for long time (as I really can't buy it yet) but it is clearly just for myself I am not planning to make business out of it. JazzRay- it sound really good where are you getting woods from? check out www.sollerguitars.com
