[quote name='devinebass' post='964056' date='Sep 22 2010, 07:38 AM']Cheers Mike, glad your enjoying it. I talk a lot about the application of the altered scale (melodic minor up a semitone from the route) in my other tutorials on my lessons site. If fact every tutorial except the 'how to practice scales and arpeggio's' tutorials has it in. Maybe start with the II V I tutorials. Another good one is the 'soloing on static minor chords tutorial', plenty of altered scale action there too. The altered scale can be a bit of a pain to start with... not the actual fingering of the scale, but actually 'hearing it' when you play. If your having these sorts of issues let me know as i've got some great ways to get the ears to start excepting the altered scale as a valid option.
Easy man,
Scott.
