13.
Cheers Mike, glad your enjoying it. I talk a lot about the application of the altered scale (melodic minor up a semitone from the route) in my other tutorials on my lessons site. If fact every tutorial except the 'how to practice scales and arpeggio's' tutorials has it in. Maybe start with the II V I tutorials. Another good one is the 'soloing on static minor chords tutorial', plenty of altered scale action there too. The altered scale can be a bit of a pain to start with... not the actual fingering of the scale, but actually 'hearing it' when you play. If your having these sorts of issues let me know as i've got some great ways to get the ears to start excepting the altered scale as a valid option. Easy man, Scott. http://www.scottsbasslessons.com http://www.scottdevinemusic.com
Fantastic, thankyou!
14. Thanks Scott, will get round to studying these indepth. The arpeggios lesson was great. Fancy doing one on practising and using the altered scale?
15. I'm generally in agreement with the above excellent posters, however, some bassists play great solos quite unlike a bassist might do - check out this clip of Jeff Andrews.
16. Still available!
17. Yeah, a really tough time to sell. A shame as this is an outstanding bass.
18. I'm very pleased to hear that
19. Okay, now £520!
20. Sold, to a great home. Thanks y'all!
21.
PM'd
Bass under offer!
22. Ah, come on. It's gotta go!
23. I'm not too familiar with it. I'm under the impression it's a beginner's guide to jazz. Do you know it? This system seems pretty good!
