I absolutely love Wunjo's new dominance over Denmark Street. I'm not surprised they're spreading out so much as they have excellent, friendly service in all of their stores!

I've become quite well acquainted with Tom, the main guy in the Bass Centre, since buying my US Deluxe last September. He was brilliant with helping me find and get what I was after!

I'm pretty sure he also recognises every face that comes back in to the store and he's always willing to recommend I try out some basses he thinks I might fancy. Absolutely top guy.

The same can be said for the rest of the staff there too! They're all willing to have a chat and actually INTERACT with customers, unlike some of the sarcastic, smarmy people that worked there before the Wunjo's days...

I hope one day they buy out the whole street so we can just get it over with and rename it Wunjo's Street. They're singlehandedly bringing back the reputation that Denmark Street deserves: Amazing, tolerant and friendly service.

(DISCLAIMER: I haven't been hired by Wunjo's to post this review! I'm just a genuine admirer of the great job they're doing :) )

Exactly my experience. Tom and his staff were so friendly and accommodating and I ended up buying a USA Jazz deluxe. I might be soon getting the 5 string version - through them, as they've provided such excellent service.

Roland JV1080 with the two most desirable expansion cards - vintage synths and orchestral!

Brilliant for composing, recording, general playing, even gigging!

Only £100 - picked up from Chelmsford Essex. Can possibly post but will be expensive!

    Comes with manual.

  3. Hi all - selling this as I need some money and don't play much fretless. It's a Gary Willis sig, with lined fingerboard, 2 band EQ and ramp. Plays really nice - one of the most comfy necks I've played.

     Features

GWB 3-piece maple neck

Basswood body

Ebonol fretless fingerboard

B105 bridge

SFR-GWB Custom neck pickup

Offset pearl dot inlay

Black hardware

EQB-GWII 2-band EQ
Quite flexible tones, from fat smoothness to a jaco bark. It's in Chelmsford, Essex - feel free to come and try it out. It has no case currently (unless I find an old one, or can sell a nice padded soft one to you) so pickup preferred!

  4. £220 picked up from Essex

    Hi all,

Sad to sell this inexpensive but fantastic bass but am struggling for cash and since I got a USA jazz deluxe 4 most of my other basses aren't getting a look in.

You probably know about these - if not, have a look here: http://overwaterbass...-by-tanglewood/

    Looks like this one:

This bass is so good I took it on tour with an orchestra (Hooked on Classics with ELO's Louis Clark) instead of my Sadowsky or Warwick and it performed superbly.

Great jazz tone and precision too!

£250 please - I'm based in Chelmsford, Essex. Don't think I've got a box to ship it so pickup only or meet somewhere for a bit of petrol money please.

Feel free to PM any questions. It's in good condition but doesn't come with a case.

  5. Hi all - selling this fantastic cab as I am not playing gigs which require both my 4x10 AND 1x15! And I need the money. It's light, loud and sounds very tight and focused. I have gigged with this on its own and with the 4x10 and it's always performed superbly. It's in very good condition - a few cat hairs which I can roller off! It has an adjustable tweeter too.

I'm based in Essex (Chelmsford) and am looking for £395. Pickup only please!

    Cheers!

    Mike

  6. Hi all,

Pains me to do it, but I'm desiring a 5 string jazz to match my 4 string FenderAmerican Deluxe Jazz, so it means this has to go to pay for it.

It's the best 5 string I've ever had - it's a 2002 Warwick Streamer Stage I. It's neckthrough, and has Aero pickups and a John East preamp. The sound is still very Warwick - woody, punchy, tight and focused. Amazing for funk, but I've been using it on functions (soul/motown/funk/pop) and jazz gigs and it's performed amazingly.

(That small black dot is a little bug from the garden by the way!)

Controls - pickup blend, master volume, bass/treble boost/cut pots, a three way switch that acts like a high pass filter (it's quite a bright sounding bass so this tames it if you want less high end). This was put in by Mike Walsh of Iceni Zoot basses.

The neck is gorgeous - very comfortable for me (with my small hands!) and quite flat. Very smooth.

Small ding on the back of the neck, general playing wear (see pics) but generally in great condition.

Looking for £1200 - maybe a trade with a Fender American Deluxe Jazz 5. These basses cost something like £4000 on Thomann (amazing!) so I think this is a good deal.

The bass doesn't come with a case (I might have a cheapy one in the loft - in fact, I might even have an old hard case there, I'll check it out) so ideally it would be pickup only, though can maybe ship at buyer's expense (and risk!).
I'm in Chelmsford, Essex (CM2 postcode) which is right on the A12 not far from J28 on M25. For some diesel money I can probably deliver depending on distance! Or even travel into London to hand it over.

Any questions shoot me a message!
