  1. Thanks Nik, she is a beaut and very well made....
  2. Andy off BB's, thats a first 🤔
  3. They are quite rare, and original colour
  4. The bass has several dings here and there as you would expect but no nasty chips, at some point in its life some numpty replaced the bridge pickup with a standard Jazz one but luckily he kept the original which has now been installed, the only thing is you can just about see the rout edge but as its black you wont see from a distance, does not affect the performance of the bass and its all original with no other modifications. Other than that in good overall condition and getting hard to come by now, one of the best Yamaha have made IMHO Frets are in good shape, truss rod is fine and electrics working as they should. It will be shipped in the top quality Yamaha bass case which is new ( £169 ), strap locks fitted and the mono strap with the buttons will be included which cost about £60. Price to include delivery to UK addresses
  5. I was just looking at that 3 mins ago and then it went LOL
  6. For sale My BB714BS Billy Sheehan's signature bass Based on the classic BB414 bass body style and constructed of a solid alder body with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, this four-string signature bass features a unique woofer pickup in the neck position that Sheehan designed with Yamaha's master guitar builder, John Gaudesi. Aesthetic details include gorgeous black nickel hardware and a solid brass bridge. The bass is in escellent condition and will come with the Gator case, Fender lead and Fender strap Minimal fret wear No trades sorry as Im selling off most of my basses over the next few weeks or so Price is firm and will include delivery to UK addresses
  7. I often wondered why that was the case with the front so your theory is the most plausible. I am happy enough that the bass is all legit bar the decal and maybe some refinish to the body
  8. I had a closer look at the decal with magnification and you can see evidence that it was cut with sissors and not as smooth on the edges as a proper factory one but a good decent job all the same
  9. The neck Lacquer has the usual chips down the side and the tide mark on the heel is evident...
  10. The guy whom I bought the bass from had it for over 30 years and he didnt get any work done on it so the mystery continues. He did contact Fender a few years ago and they confirmed that it was a 77 neck due to the date code on the heel, to me it just feels right and as you say why would anyone create a fake
  11. The body is finished in white which has now yellowed and is original , no other signs of a refinish
  12. This is the date stamp, is there a chance that the logo has been reapplied at some stage maybe
  13. Thats the mystery Si, no headstock serial but a date stamp on the heel for 77, it all looks genuine, pots pickups and body are 77 just the lack of serial on the neck. I have contacted Fender for some info on it
  14. Has me baffled as there is no sticker on the guard. All looks authentic and the neck is great
  15. The sticker which is hard to make out but looks like Fender serial number to the left and to the right I can only make out ERER
  16. Can anyone decipher these numbers on the back of a 70’s Precision
  17. I was going to put mine up this week for sale if ypou are interested..
