SOLD

Hi all, I really don't want to, but have to with this one. As stated, fender American deluxe jazz from 1996 (has the "50 years of fender" sticker on the headstock). Got it on here a while back, used it in my room a few times, one gig (one song) and its lived in it's case since. When I got it, it had a large chip in the finish on the top horn. I did a light touch up on it so it's not overly noticeable until up close. Here's some details that fender kindly sent me: Series: U.S. Plus/Deluxe Series Body: Alder with Ash Veneered Top/Back Neck: Graphite Reinforced Maple Fingerboard: Rosewood pn# (019-4400) or Maple pn# (019-4402), (9.5” Radius/241 mm) No. of Frets: 22 American Standard Scale Length: 34” (864 mm) Width @ Nut: 1.500” (38 mm) Hardware: Chrome Machine Heads: American Deluxe Bridge: Deluxe (Strings-Thru-Body and Top Load) Pickguard: White Pearloid and *Tortoise Shell (color 837) Pickups: New Design Jazz Bass Humbucking Pickups (Neck & Bridge) Pickup Switching: Pan Pot Controls: Master Volume, Treble Boost/Cut 22db, Mid Boost/Cut 20db, Bass Boost/Cut 20db, Unique Features: Large Single 1/4” Pole Pieces on the Dual Coil Pickups, Dot Position Inlays, Rear Battery Compartment Source: CORONA (U.S.) It's a lovely vintage blonde colour with a tort guard. Don't want to, but must sell as I've tuition fees to pay by Wednesday so needs to be a quick sale too. £500 collected, £520 posted No trades Will Put pics on when I get home from work.
2. Do it :-P my next one will be the same but the opposite. White hardware may be a problem to find though.
3. Don't forget the VM's. Got mine and changed the pup for a quarter pounder, then added a basslines MM bucket. I now prefer it to my American deluxe jazz. And it's a trendy oly white one too
4. Cheers Gary, chuffed to bits with the turn out.
5. As some of you may remember, a while back I bought a Squier VM p with aspirations to modify it. Here it is when I got it: Nothing special. Just a stock bass. Now I've never modded or even considered modding before, but realised, if I did, I could get exactly what I wanted. So, I set out with plans and started ordering parts. It's not technically finished yet as my hipshot hasn't arrrived from the states yet, but for the sake of photos it doesn't matter. Hope you lot like it as much as I do. http://s1258.photobu...quier%20VM%20p/ List of mods: Duncan Designed pup's changed for basslines quarter pounder, Basslines Ceramic MM bucker fitted, Electrics changed to Vol, Vol, Tone (all new pots) Bridge cover added, All hardware changed to black (except screws which were sprayed white), Headstock sanded and sprayed white with large 70's fender decal added, Block markers added, Black strings added, Large Hylian Crest added, Hipshot Ultralite D-tuner will be fitted when it arrives All in all aesthetically pleasing as well as sonically. Very well balanced and the lightest bass I've ever owned. The basslines are fantastic, aggressive, full of options and higher output than my active jazz. In fact, I like this lil squier so much, it's rendered my '96 American deluxe jazz (50th anniversary of fender one) that I got off of here) pointless so I'll be selling that one, or possibly trading, but more likely selling.
6. Still hopeful bump

10. Never really played it enough. Plus intend to move about abit this year and it wasn't practicle. She's now in the good hands of BC's vey own merlin.
11. Cheers daf, I've no longer got a double bass, but forgot to remove myself from the list
12. They most definately are portable. That's near enough exactly what I'm after. I like those little ashdown ones.
13. Hi all, I'm looking to trade my HH head. I've had this one a few months now but used the IC100's for years now. As much as I love them to pieces, I intend on moving around a fair bit this year and it's too cumbersome. I'm just after a nice small portable head. I believe this one is something like a 1972/73 from what I've been told. It's 100w, 2 channels (one with harmonic and presence controls). It's got a spring reverb thing inside it, but I've no pedal for it. Though this does make cool noises if you tap the head whilst it's on. I've no pics yet but will try and add some later if possible Best of all, the green light still works :-D I'll probably put my 1 x 15" cab up later and would happily do both for a small combo (2x10 possibly). A long shot I know, but you don't ask, you don't get :-)
14. I was thinking of a rotary selector as I'm not a fan of blade switches. I'll probably wire it jazz style for now (with the mm in parallel) until I make a definite decision. Was juSt after views/experiences.
15. I'm halfway through completing a project. My squier P is off being routed, but ive been asked how I want it wired. I really don't know. I'm using basslines quarter pounder P and a ceramic MM at the bridge. I was thinking of a stacked volume, master tone and a rotary selected for the different MM functions. Though I also thought of one volume for each and a master tone. Ideall I want the best of both sounds, yet simple. Any thoughts/suggestions welcome. At this stage it's staying passive.
16. Nice, I hadn't seen that before. Not far off what I'm after ending up with.
17. sounds interesting, any pics of one? I suppose half the logic behind this I want to sort of experience the process too. The only mod I've ever done is install straploks. I've always wanted to have a go at heavily modding something.
18. Valid point. The body to be precise. I looked into buying a finished body, but would have to wait to play until all the parts arrived. With this one, I can keep using it as I modify it, plus I love the weight of it...at the moment. Wasn't too keen on the sound in the shop, but sounds ok through my HH.
19. Just got a squier precision for a project. Anyone wanna swap a precision neck for a jazz neck? The precision neck in question has a lovely rosewood board and is off of a squier VM precision. I'm ideally after a maple board jazz, preferably with blocks. Doesn't even need to be branded as I'm planning on painting the headstock anyway. I am willing to add te difference too :-)
