1.
.... was this your spec, or do they generally build instruments w/out vol/tone/EQ controls?....How is the volume balance/output from the separate pickups ??
Got this in a trade, he ordered it as an option, he preferred the simplicity of on/off switches. Volume wise, there isn't a massive difference between them all, a slight drop in volume when all 3 are on.
 2.
Interesting looking bass- any pictures of the fretless neck? And neck dimensions? Cheers
Just checked, it is a standard Jazz bass nut width, 38mm, and a nice comfy C-shape neck.
 3. They are built in Indonesia, but not mass produced, built on a 1-1 basis.
 4. Here are a few photos, and as for neck dimensions, will see what measurements I can get when home from work.

 7. Interested in a Schecter California Custom 5 string?
 8.
These appeared in the '84 ESP catalogue - looked it up while researching the two that have been on eBay recently (this looks like one of them - marks on the lower bit look the same, missing knows, same flaming pattern, same neck pocket gap on treble side). Jealous - I should have bid a little higher on it! Really nice looking bass. 9.
I've no info, but I always liked the look of these. Interested to hear how you get on with it.
The only problem with it is that there is about a 2-3 mm gap either side of the neck pocket. But so far, it's all grand. Probably going to add a thumb rest just above the pickup, just as an anchoring point for playing.
 10. Got this bass in a trade, the previous owner has no info about it, other than it possibly came from the 80's. Anyone know more about it?
 11.
Not fitting a bands image to get the gig has nothing to do with being a session player. You do sessions on a track.... and you may not even need to play outside a studio. If you don't get a gig for visual reasons, then that is down to who is doing the hiring but sessions were traditionally studio dates
Sorry, should have been clearer, meant a session player in a live context. The studio still accepts me. It doesn't judge me, it accepts me for who I am!
 12. Hey guys. I've auditioned for a few bands recently, and all of them have said I was 'too tall' to fit in with the image. Does anyone else have any experience with this. I know there's nothing I can do about it, but still, feeling a little bitter about it all.
 13. Probably my old Carvin R600 Combo. Very lifeless. Tried it with a separate cab, and it only got worse :/
 14. Hey guys, the rough streets of London have taken their toll on the casters of my cab, and 2 of them have broken. Any ideas if they are standard sized casters, or would I have to buy Aguilar's official wheels, and if so, anywhere I can buy them in the UK? Cheers
 15.
It amazes me that a whole new generation are hearing songs from my youth without even knowing it and thinking it's something new. It really is a strange old world.
Some people will hear Ain't no mountain and wonder why they stole Amy's bassline. Sad times.
 16.

Thank you kind sir! I can now finally stop ripping my hair out!!
 17. [sup]Hey guys, wondering if you could settle my mind today[/sup] [sup]A piece of music came on the radio today, and the bass line sounded really similar to the intro/verse line in 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' but can't think for the life of me what it is. [/sup] [sup]Any ideas anyone?[/sup]
