1. Ok i have two people who are interested, one of which has pmed and will take it on the assumption the description of "Mint" is accurate (The bass is not in my hands so we'll see!), shall i get the trade deal rolling? I need to be able to sell this to someone else if someone pulls out! Local pickup in Bristol is MUCH MUCH preffered as i dont have a box and i am unsure how much shipping will be! I can get photos on Monday but a good confirm would be great!
2.
Whats the neck meant to be like on these? I'm after getting a precision, but have never tried the 50's reissues. Are they big and bulky or is it comfortable? Also, what colour is it? Is it in the fiesta red? Cheers Joe
Uhhh, the colour is in the topic title! The neck is not as chunky as lets say a 51' Reissue. its nice is all i can say! Proper P neck.
3. Hey guys. I'll be getting one of these on a trade deal one of these. http://www.fender.com/products/search.php?partno=0131702340# Just wondering if any of you are interested! Its described as in mint condition, with a good action with no problems whatsoever. Its not my cup of tea. Price is £380 FIRM. If there are serious enquiries i will get some photos sorted. If there are no serious enquiries then i wont go through with the trade as its a deal breaker! Will be available from the 19th of April! Rob.
4. Interestingly enough this is a subject close to my heart and i have my own question! I will soon have another Pedulla MVP in my hands, Its got an all maple construction, so naturally bright. Should i go for the EMG active route? Or go for Passive Dimarzio Willpower (IE billy Sheehan) P pickup and some other jazz pup? Rob.
5. Ok, when it goes quiet, i hit the amp, and it gets louder again for a brief few moments. Valve Reseat? Transistor come lose?
6.
I thought I had a schematic for that model - but I can't find it - though I suspect there will be one online somewhere - if you can find one - we can take a look at possibilities.
Cheers mate!
7. Hey guys. My Ampeg SVT IIP Preamp has a slight problem, it has two inputs, Normal and "Bright" The Normal input works fine with no problems, When using the bright input, the volume fades in and out at random times. The valves have just been replaced. Any ideas? Rob.
8. I dont mind you borrowing it, though i do suggest you make the headlines Bolded and Larger Sorted that for you! Makes the ad look less cluttered!
9. Photos arent working mate. Paging Mr Foxen to this thread.
10. Ellefson all the way! All those brilliant lines, Lomenzo is controlled somewhat by mustaine.
11. Hey guys. I havent actually got the pickups in my hand at this moment in time, but in a few weeks time i will be paying for a bass that has them on. Standard Bartolini Pickups, P-J coming out of a Pedulla MVP4. £60 + postage for the set. Will hold them for anyone who wants them. Payment will be made when i actually get the bass! Rob.
12. Scratch that, got into contact with John Shuker, he can do my Pedulla fingerboard polyester refinish for £75!!!! blimey. Pedulla can stuff their prices.
13. I am looking all over the website and i cant find one! Either i am blind or they have none listed! The two numbers listed on googlemaps do not work. If anyone can PM me the number, thanks! Rob.
14.
Got the reissues in stock today. Needed a setup out of the box - but what a COOL bass, a really nice bit of gear! Sounds like...a PBass on Crack, the sliding pickup makes very little sense, nothing a bit of clever EQ'ng wouldn'y sort if the pickup was in a fixed position. If you've ever played an Epiphone Jack Casady, it's not dissimilar to this, just without the 'honk' of a hollowbody. In an ideal world, i'd buy this without a second thought, but i haven't got the money for a new bass ATM. Should be around £899 though, so they won't be around long.
Hmm how would i go about getting one? I dont really have the money mind!
15.
Fingerboard.
Damn i am being a bit dozy.
16.
And very very VERY minor frets
"Fretboard wear" then!
17. Trades and part exchange section amended.
