I actually quite like it, make it long scale, put a pre-amp in it, could get a decent tone out of it.

That looks really nice. I think Thomann should sell those as well. Surely it wouldn't cost them much to do so.
Do you also have a jazz bass with a precision neck?

Sold the jazz body as the P neck was a banana with knackered truss rod. -
P bass HB Body with J bass HB Neck.

I meant just the Kiogan stuff with the bell plate

I'd take the stack knob plate and electronics, possibly the neck depending on price....

Had my first Melon, PB-20 with a knackered truss rod. Ah well

Hello all.
Absolutely love Fleas tone on Hump De Bump.

I know its flatwounds, and probably an early 60's jazz bass. I have been looking a number of pickups and I am still none the wiser at what I am looking for. Maybe something with Alnico 2's to mimic the late 50's early 60's sound?
Thing is the sound seems very fat on Hump De Bump. Even though I know Flea probably has plenty of processing and compression, can someone point me in right direction to get just that little bit closer?
Cheers! -
Reduced to just £130 for quick sale.

For sale/For trade: Dean Edge 6 String bass.
35" Scale & 1-11/16" Nut
Grover Tuners
Black Hardware
2 band active Pre-amp
Bolt-on Maple & Walnut Neck
Rosewood Fingerboard
Abalone Dot Inlays
24 Frets
Made in Korea
Just been setup with Rotosound strings, genuinely nice low action. I have stripped, oiled and cleaned the bass. Truss rods are 100% a-ok. Some dings on the headstock, some small dents around the edge of the body in the finish (Not the wood). They are very faint and wont show up in photos. Also missing truss rod cover.
Pretty lightweight for a 6 string bass. (Lighter then my 4 string jazz and Musicman basses.)
I am only interested in decent Squier Jazz/precision bass trading for decent quality parts that can be used in a Jazz bass build, Pickups, Tuners, bodies, Necks (Precision neck fine). Etc.
Pickup only from my house in Wimbledon London. Or somewhere in central.
£130 -
What a beaut! Never liked Blizzard pearl myself. But this one looks gorgeous!

I think this is a prime example of someone using a luxury provided by their location. It's great for him and others living, for example, in the central north cities. This is great for the seller.
The frustration here is, of course, for the buyer if you live in some of the more off-the-beaten-track places. In those cases you can be reading all the threads only to see the bass you're desperate to buy, but you can't have it without a 4 hours drive. Maybe we should develop a code to put in the title?
We all understand "FS:". maybe we should replace this with "CO:" for collection only?
Not much point I find, Unless you put CO and the location, with title space at a premium anyway.
Having a large buyers pool in London is practically the only "Luxury" I have living here. I would much rather live in the sticks and the advantages that gives me (Having some quality time and be able to afford a property!) then have a large buyers pool! -
I would never post a bass anymore. Not only have I had more then one bad experience, I also have so little time and resources to actually post an instrument, let alone deal with insurance if something goes wrong. Living in London means that I have a huge amount of potential buyers within my range, so for me it really makes sense to sell locally. I am just more patient about it, I shouldnt be bad mouthed for it (Which I have on here in the past).
After all, it is my property and only I can decide how to sell it. -
Practically unused set of Wilkinson MWJB jazz bass pickups. Bridge and neck position. Sounds lovely and clear and a good cheap upgrade from stock pickups.
Installed in a Jazz bass once, used for an hour.
£25 Shipped or £20 picked up from Wimbledon London. If these don't sell by tomorrow, I will be putting them up on ebay.
Payment by Bank transfer. -
Hello everyone.
I have a deconstructed Harley Benton progressive bass.
I stripped the body of electrics and paint, tried a pathetic attempt at a refinish and gave up. I haven't got enough time to work on it. The paint needs to be cut back and the body resanded/filled.
Everything else worked absolutely fine, have no idea why the bass was considered a deko, sounded brilliant! So to reiterate, this includes all parts needed to put the bass back together. Pickups, pre-amp, tuners, mono bridge pieces etc etc.
£30 Picked up from my place in Southfields London or it can be picked up at my workplace this Monday/Tuesday in Chelsea.
Will make a great project. Very impressed with the quality of the parts. Body and neck are very lightweight.

Being put up on ebay at 7PM tomorrow if these don't sell!

Rob, you're more than welcome to park your bass and yourself next to me. I will have a spare stand space, and enough stuff to mix and match 2 rigs at any one time.
