....was using what appeared to be a Music Man Stingray 4H on Ant & Dec's Takeaway show tonight, but it was in a black and white Fodera yin-yang type paint job with front facing LED's.

I'm sure that can't have been manufactured by Ernie Ball, as I know from recent experience that they "don't do custom spec".

Im sure there isn't any protection regarding the yin-yang symbol, but I wonder how Fodera feel about it?

They do do custom spec. You just need to be known enough to get it done. A Wilhelm screams bass player has a custom one which he got recently and he told me the story behind it.

  3. Hello all!

Finally my band is at the point of gigging and releasing music.

For about 10 years (And 3 cities later) I have been desperate to join or form a Melodic Hardcore Punk rock band in the being of A Wilhelm Scream, No Trigger and Strike Anywhere.

Last year I had enough of waiting and decided to give a serious go of it. A couple of pub meetings later and finally got a proto lineup. Took a few months to get a stable bunch of people and then the drummer left!
Managed to recruit an Indonesian guy who was amazing, I had some real reservations as he didnt own a kit and claimed he air drummed to learn our songs. Well what an amazing guy! Total rhythm brother.

Organising practices, kit, Band logo competitions, gigs, contacts, demos, photo shoots etc. I am exhausted! My other half has been so understanding considering I should have been helping her plan our upcoming engagement party!

Finally released everything on Facebook today, Demo, Logo, Photos and first gig announcement and I am relieved! But cant stop there, we don't quite have enough material for the first gig so we need to hurry and learn some more covers in the next week!

I feel very musically fulfilled right now! If you have the time and the drive you CAN form it. It just took me three city moves, a divorce and lots of sweat and depression to get there!

If you guys could give us a listen to see what you think that would be great!

  5. Hello all.

I have here a Staff MB350 Jaguar bass.

Interesting configuration, 34" scale, twin Musicman style humbuckers, jazz electrics, Jaguar body, slim P bass neck, matching headstock. Has a brand new set of Daddario Prosteels.

Also comes with Schaller straplocks, a snazzy space themed strap and a terrible terrible "bag".

I bought this on a nostalgia trip as I had one of these as my first bass.

Everything works as it should, I have recently set it up with surprisingly low action, good look rosewood fingerboard. PLENTY of turns left on the truss rod.

I have recently wet and dried some frets to level them out.

There a few beauty marks on the body none of which go through the paint. The control plate is quite tarnished.

£85 picked up from Wimbledon or Central London. No shipping sorry.

  6. I have used these in the past with great results. Specifically catered for Drop C from the factory. They also have a "lighter" Drop C set.

  7. Just bought a Paulownia wood Santander JB200, cheap as chips jazz bass with rear routing.

    http://www.ebay.co.u...K%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Basically wanted a Jazz bass that is as lightweight as can be. Going to be putting in a set of Wizard 64' pickups and TI Flatwounds. For £70 you can go far wrong.

I have owned a 7 String Santander bass before that was fairly good for the price. Hopefully this will be similar. I think it looks pretty smart.
