Criminally underrated. A fairly well known youtube bassist cops a decent Tool tone on one.

What have you got, just out of interest?

Would love this, but only got skinny stringed things to trade with

I really don't think that's a bad price at all for a US made low production number bass.

The new single reminds me of his sons band Fiction Plane.

I've just contacted Hercules via their website, so I'll see if they can help.
Having a wee google, apparently rubbing alcohol could be a contender for getting rid of it, but there is the chance it could also make things worse. I have ethanol in the pantry (used to use it on cake decoration), so if Hercules can't help, I'll give it a blast & let you know what it does.

Lynx Deodorant will do the same thing. Give it a shot. I clear all my sticky situations with it. -
Would totally rock this. Needs a louder paint job though. Pink and black zebra stripes.

Pmed.
Any idea if the original neck had an overhand and that this would fit a 20 fret neck? -
Pretty sure I auditioned for these guys a while ago. I didn't get it as they didn't want a bassist that played beyond root notes
Rehearsing under the arches right? Unfortunately I don't rate my guitar playing skills enough! -

Nice picture of the small ding, but where is it on the bass, please?
Front or rear?
Front on the arm contour. Depending on how you play your arm covers it. -
The best, cheapest and obvious solution for stickers is your standard Lynx Deodorant! Comes right off.

Have to agree. This is right up my street but there is no audible bass from a bass. The guitar is way too high in the mix.

Hello all.
I have a Fully loaded Blue/Black Flame Veneer precision bass body for sale. No idea where it came from. What I do know is that the electrics all work no problems, takes standard Fender dimension necks. Solid wood that looks like Alder. It is a completely medium/standard weight for a P body.
There are some dings in the finish but no chips. Most scratches are on the edge or the back of the body and are hard to photograph. The Scratchplate has a mystery screw hole on the scratchplate partially covered by one of the control knobs. The Screws are a bit mucky as well.
Collection from either my house in Dagenham or Central London.
Price is firm at 40 quid.

We are Ships Down, an established Hardcore Punk rock band. We play technical and fast punk rock to the unsuspecting masses.
Unfortunately we are losing one of our guitarists at the end of October so we need a replacement. We are looking for someone who can jump in with the material learned as soon as our current guitarist leaves.
Our influences are A Wilhem Scream, Strike Anywhere, No Trigger and Propagandhi.
Our demo is here https://shipsdown.bandcamp.com/releases

Ideally we are looking for someone who knows how to write material in the style of our influences, someone who knows how to control their dynamics (Loud AND Quiet!), a team player and NO egos. Backing vocals are a plus, but not essential.
We do play a few covers to pad out the longer sets.

Those saddles look adjustable from side to side, can you confirm?

Wow, that's amazing. Tempted as I am I would like this to go someone truly deserving!
How about putting this in for the SE bass bash raffle? -
Well the entire Telecaster nut is 42/43mm. The Silvertones is more like 40/41mm. Thought the tele was wider! However it does help with the range of guitars I could use!

Now there's a curious coincidence! (And very reassuring that I'm not the only one who was impressed with the sound of it!) You weren't the chap trying a bass out in the other corner when I came in, by any chance?
Nah I don't think so. I was chatting to one of the Tom's. There was an Asian guy ripping some Level 42 lines if I remember. -
Was in the shop when you were trying this out. Sounded pretty good to my ears!

Hello all
Currently I have a telecaster copy which has a very wide neck with wide spacing.
I also have a Silvertone Paul stanley signature model. (Les paul alike) which has a much thinner neck and shorter scale. The neck is far too narrow to be comfortable for me (bass players sausage hands)
So I am looking to offload the Silvertone and purchase a set neck humbucker equipped guitar second hand that is a suitable width.
Any suggestions? -
Tried out a Fender Jaguar USA about 7 months ago, I very nearly left the shop with it. Very versatile bass. They should sell like hot cakes but most people wouldn't even try them.
