Nope, I am not into 5 string basses (and the problem only seems to affect these, not the 4 string model).
It might do if it was strung B E A D ?!
It's not impossible that I would have changed the pickups and possibly the preamp anyway - but that said, I cant reconcile £1800 for a Korean Spector in my head.

1 month thread revival....anybody got one of these yet?
I see the gent who posted clips and then took them down has made further comments in the other place that he tried all the suggestion (playing softer, lowering pickups) with no improvement.
I was planning on ordering one but at c£1800 for a Korean Spector, with seemingly unresolved issues, I dont think I will be doing.

2003 Warwick Streamer Jazzman LX Left Handed
Warwick Jazzman Streamer LX - 2003 - £775 shipped Mainland UK.Bought this for my son to play, but.....
1) He's prioritising drums
2) It's too posh for a secondary instrument, so will replace with something lower end.
3) Not sure if he's left handed or not!! - new drum teacher has suggested reconfiguring his kit to with the opposite dominant hand, maybe try the same with bass???
Funds wanted to upgrade kit and cymbals.
Warwick Streamer in the Jazzman configuration.
This gives a switchable parallel/series/single coil humbucker, really versatile and also a jazz pickup.
Fair overall condition -the body is half swamp ash and half flame maple.
A few minor marks, discoloration on the bass body.
Flush stralock fittings installed - The horn straplock isnt the neatest of jobs, please see photo.
Overall condition acceptable for an 18 year old bass.
The specification is:
produced:
20.11.2003
Description:
Streamer, 4-string
Natural Oil finish
Swamp Ash/AA Flamed Maple top body
Ovangkol neck
Gold hardware
Left-hand- 2

aye! @bagsieblue - what does it sound like?
I always find it hard to describe sound, and I'm too old for recordings, I'd have to say it sounds like a good P bass with added clarity, the best word I can think to describe is pure.

The trouble I find is that people push and shove you to get a better view. Manners go out the window.
Yep, horrible - really winds me up. Same when trying to get served at the bar in a busy pub.

Sick!
I'm old but I think that means good??
Or is it the mis match of blue / tort plate / black bridge / chrome knobs and gold tuners making you feel queasy?

Fender PB 57 Made In Japan.
£775 shipped mainland UK
I'm settling on my gear to use for gigs when things are 100% open so listing up a few that have duplicate functions. Will list for a few days on here before running the gauntlet by listing up elsewhere!!
50th anniversary, so dates to c1996.
Pots have been changed but they are high quality ones.
Good overall condition given the age - a few dings, scuffs and scrapes on the body

Fender Logo JV P Bass - Made In Japan.
This Fender Logo P Bass is a PB 62 for the Japanese Domestic Market.
I'm settling on my gear to use for gigs when things are 100% open so listing up a few that have duplicate functions. Will list for a few days on here before running the gauntlet by listing up elsewhere!!
Dates from 1984. Black Plate added but original white plate will also be included.
Good overall condition given the age - a few scuffs and scrapes on the body and on the end of the headstock.
All works as it should, truss rod and bridge all adjust fine and I've had this set up well with Low Tension TI Flats to Heavy Gauges strings with no problems.
My photos are on the glass table outside, I've also added some from the original importer showing the white plate, both plates will be included in the sale of course.
Then a couple of close up pics at the end showing some of the scuffs. Near the bridge, I think from a restring, and near the truss access, where someone has tried to adjust the truss rod without removing the neck I guess.

Sadowsky Jazz Pickups & Onboard Pre Amp - Splitting out a few projects.
£250 Shipped Mainland UK.
Photos found online - will add actual photos once its decoupled from the bass.
Can be arranged on a J plate or as a 4 knob diamond formation.
This is the old style black plastics coated pre amp.
Once I've removed - Pots will all be connected together save for the pickups and the jack socket.

Lakland Skyline Roadworn Jazz Neck - Stripping down a few projects.
£100 shipped Mainland UK.
This is for the neck only - no hardware.
Korean made Lakland Skyline Neck - Some cosmetic damage on fretboard at the 4th Fret. - see photos. Some curious chewing around the truss nut - but all works as it should.Cosmetically not perfect but a nice Jazz neck. The neck is a slightly a little narrow for some "standard Fender" pockets (think vintage Fender!). Fits in the heel and the holes line up with those in the body, just expecting that there may be some slight gapping on the width - I added a small shim on the side of the neck pocket on one of my builds. -

Has the fretboard lifted off the neck?
Possibly, yes, that could well have happened.
The finish is missing as can be seen - I've tried to gently slip a pallet knife under close to the nut and it won't drop through.
It's had a rough life, will give it a little while longer as a project bass then will part out.

Bought this fairly recently, needing some TLC and after putting into it considerable time and money it's now 95% of the way there, and after a recent Bongo purchase it's time for this one to go.
Now £525 shipped - prefer a collection and inspection given that the bass is not "as stock", will of course knock off the courier fee if collected.
No Trades.
Made In the USA - to all intents and purposes this is a US Stingray. Plays and sounds great.
Slab body, neck has been stripped of the paint (if you don't like painted necks this is a good thing), as too has the body - and refinished in a vinyl wrap of black with a subtle glittery sparkle - think Starry Night but with a bit more colour in the sparkle. It's quite subtle and hard to capture in the photographs. It's a decent job, the join is on the the inside edge of the neck as shown in photographs. Headstock too also has the vinyl wrap on the from face.
95% of the way there in the project I say - the remaining 5% is the D string tuner ear being a little loose (still functions) and 3 x tuners screws which are stripped. I've tried my screw extractor tool and can't get it to grab on these - I think I would need a one size down attachment to the sizes I have. Tuners still function and are secure - just that the 3 x screws are odd compared to the others.

Gallien Krueger MB212 Combo - Made In USA (not all of them were.....)
£375 collected from Lancashire
After the first rehearsals back this side of the lockdowns I'm settling on the gear I'm going to be gigging with.Full 500w into the 2 x 12" Speakers.Speakers are Neo so the overall weight is light. The amp in this combo is basically the same as the GK MB500 , which goes for c£300 second hand, and here its contained in a 2 x 12 Combo-The differences between this amp is this combo and that MB500 are that the MB500 has a few whistles and bells such as:- Dual channels and a foot switch- XLR out can go pre or post with a ground lift- line out- effects loopTo be clear, none of these are feature on this combo. Finally, the contour in the MB500 is variable (on a pot) whereas it's an on/off switch in this combo.Other than that it is the same ampDecent overall condition - sounds great, full 500w without the need for an extension cab.Tilt back function.- 1

It does happen - I sold a pair of AR18s Hifi speakers, which my grandson genuinely knocked over and damaged while the auction was running! I had to check my photos to see if the damage was originally there, until my wife told me what I had happened. I offered a refund, or a discount, but the buyer was happy to go ahead with the purchase, which was for a refurbishment project.
I felt very embarrassed.
I'm sure it does.
I've had similar comments back a handful of times when won things cheaply. Often times they pop us again for sale with no mention of the damage that prevented a previous sale.
I was passing comment on there being seemingly easier ways to weasel out of an eBay deal than some far fetched someones already collected it story.

Northwest Guitars bodies and necks

The bodies are great - I got this from another BC'er.
P Bass Body - added option of the J Route, painted by previous BC'er, cavity shielded.
Good platforms to build on certainly.
The necks I've found are less good - hard to describe exactly but feel a bit weird and not up to the same level of the bodies I've found. Maybe its because the neck is a more tactile area??
