  1. Yes, I've been there and regularly get hit the same way. Down to one and just scrambled a second.

Its the way it goes at the moment, get yourself a giggable, cheap second hand bass that's good enough to gig (Harley benton spring to mind) and you'll be fine. I'm gigging in a wedding band and 2 tributes with really cheap bass and it works just fine. Once youre back on your feet then the basses will come rolling back in.

    Ray 4/5 = 2 EQ/ceramic humbucker

    Ray 24/25 are 2 band EQ/ceramic

    Ray34/35 are 3 band EQ/Alnico

I had a couple of HH Sterling models(Ray34 and Ray35) The switching on positions 2 and 4 gives both inside and both outside coils)

You've still got the bridge humbucker on its own so yes, just extra options (edit: which do all sound different)

Weirdly, just to show how mad it is, there's different version of the ray 34s as well :)

I know a guy that does vinyl work and based in Sale, just outside Manchester. If you wanted a flashy printed design he is brilliant at that sort of thing as well.

If you can pass me his details that'd be great, thanks.

If the cost of respray is too high you could also look at vinyl wrapping, may be cheaper. There's been some threads on it in the past. Just a thought/ option.

Great idea, thanks. I'll have a look, that might save a lot of hassle too.

Do you own the Digbeth 500H? Ever since getting my Digbeth Preamp I’ve become obsessed with it and the way the “tube” drive sounds and feels so genuine. I keep looking at the 500H and the 410 and telling myself I must resist any purchase.

Yes, I own the 500h head and the 410 DBV vertical cab.

    Love them!

  7. For sale my Boss Sy300 synth pedal.

I bought this a few months ago and use it in our INXS tribute.

Its a superb pedal. I've never noticed any latency etc the response is immediate. And the sounds superb.

Its also so much more than a synth pedal. It's a modeller, a tuner, has routing options, and clones of popular chorus, delay, distortion, drive, fuzz, modulation, tremelo, wah, compression, stereo - and much much more - as well as a fully packed synth and all it's parameters.

It has lots of banks to store in as well.

Its in good condition. Runs on a 9v adaptor.

Collection Leyland Lancashire or can post for £10.

  8. Hi all,

For sale my Vintage V4 precision bass in fiesta red.

Lovely sounding with the Wilkinson pick ups and an excellent all round bass.

As new, bought and only used to set up and put on new rotosound swing strings.

    Grab a Xmas bargain.

  9. I've a lightly used one of these if anyone who wanted one  lost out and didn't get one? Just make me an offer.

For info they are light years ahead of sy1 and other pedals I've used.

They also have a tuner, and loads of modelling pedals for drive, distortion, chorus, delay, fuzz etc etc on top of the synth sounds.
