2. I've added some new pics above which hopefully capture the bass in better light. It really has to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated.

7. For Sale my Mint condition USA Fender Select Active Jazz Bass. Hands down the most comfortable Jazz I've played and owned including a USA Deluxe. The neck definitely feels thinner from front to back than the deluxe and the standard Jazzes I've owned. Year 2013 and cost £1700, I am the 2nd owner. Its in fabulous condition, just a couple of small marks I can see - hardly noticeable, and comes with the official Tweed hardcase. The Blurb: The highly acclaimed Fender Select series introduces an all-new lineup for 2013. These finely crafted guitars and basses put decades of Fender expertise on display, with elegant features and design options for discerning musicians everywhere. Experience the latest figured tops, beautiful finishes, choice tone woods, figured and quartersawn maple necks with compound-radius fingerboards, an innovative new "inlaid" fingerboard design on two of the models, specially voiced pickups, and several new first-rate features that mark Fender's top-line best as remarkable instruments. Like its passive-electronics 2012 predecessor, the Fender Select Active Jazz Bass® takes our most versatile bass to new heights of elegance and power. Its alder body has a flame maple top and a beautiful hand-stained Tobacco Sunburst finish with gloss-lacquer topcoat. The modern "C"-shaped quartersawn maple neck has a comfortable contoured heel, satin lacquer finish and PosiflexGäó graphite support rods; the compound-radius rosewood fingerboard (9.5"-14") has 20 medium jumbo frets and stylish white pearloid block position inlays. Other premium features include dual Fender Select Jazz Bass single-coil pickups, active/passive mini-toggle switch, master volume knob and pickup pan knob, three-band active EQ (treble, mid and bass boost/cut knobs), three-ply parchment pickguard, high-mass vintage-style bridge (strings-through-body or top-load), vintage-style tuners with tapered shafts, and Fender Select headstock medallion. 9. Thanks for your help guys, think I'd have to bite the bullet then by the sounds of things. X
10. I think I've been thrown a bit as the Warwick Streamer Stage 1 I owned was advertised as a 34 scale yet it felt longer than any other bass I have played.
11.
34 inch is long scale; you could try short scale (usually 32 inch but sometimes less). Both Spector and Warwick will probably offer short scale versions of some of their models, although the choice will be limited.
Thanks for replying. My current Fender Jazz bass is a 34 inch scale and feels great, so as long as the neck is same length then I'd be happy.
12. Any help is greatly appreciated. Having previously owned at some stage (now sold), the Spector Euro 4lx and Warwick Streamer Stage 1 basses, I'm now looking to get another (Warwick or Spector). The only feature I wasn't keen on was they both had longer necks than I'm used to so wondered if they do shorter necks on both basses mentioned. Should I be looking at 34 scale? If I end up purchasing from another chatter chances are I won't be able to try before I buy so want to know exactly what I need to ask and not end up in the same situation I was in before. Cheers Freddie

15. Okay, I'm on the search for a new cab and and amp! I'm going to be down sizeing from a barefaced big twin 2 Gen 3 which is overkill for most of what I do. I play in a Funk/Dance/Soul band and we are about to invest in a new pa including bass bin, so I won't need quite as much on stage. I'm looking at smaller 212s or a 2 x 112 set up. At the moment I'm leaning towards a TC Electronics RS212 and an RH750 amp so wanted to gather some genuine opinions both good and bad on this setup or is there something else I should be looking at within my budget £1000/£1200. Thanks for reading and appreciate your help/advice. Freddie
16. Fantastic amp here for sale and in Very good condition. Purchased from a friend just over a year ago who was using it purely as a back up to his Mesa Boogie, and he purchased it from new about 7 years or so ago. It cost him around £1000 new. Its complete overkill for me so have decided to sell it. Might be willing to trade for something else and can put cash towards it if needs be. You'll have to Google for the details/specs. Can get some pics up shortly. Bargain £275 ovno - collection only from Swindon. Thanks Freddie
