1. I was watching an old Wizzard video when this weirdly modified Jazz Bass turned up on the screen. Looks to me like two slanted Musicmaster pickups in some sort of extreme P-bass configuration coupled to four pots. I can't find any more info on the net, like who made it or maybe more interesting: why! Anyone out there in the know?
2.
For me it is the look. I think they look home made
In fact Paul lives just a stone's throw away from his workshop so there is some merit to your argument.

4. I tried them both a couple of weeks ago and they both feel and sound really good, slim necks but not tiny. I do prefer the more expensive one with the AlNiCo-pickups though.
5. Bought a FEA pedal, perfect transaction on all accounts! Thanks!
6. Bought a pedal from Kev, friendly and fast just like his playing.
7. I had the pleasure to try this bass out at GMR's showroom this spring and it's great. The b-string is among the best ever, totally uniform with the other strings.
8. Thanks! And I agree, it still sounds undeniably Wal but in a completely different way than the Mk-series.
9. Thanks! By the way, I'd gladly chip in for a 5-string fretless Mk 2 or 3 otherwise mostly interested in straight swaps, please.
10. Tjenare! I'm curious too hear what skånska sounds like with a dutch accent, probably the most fricative-heavy combination anywhere.
11. I truly love this bass, being an ardent fan of Percy Jones and all, however I urgently need a five-string fretless so I'm having a look to see what's out there. It's a 1979 Wal Pro 2 E with and ash body, factory fretless rosewood fingerboard. Classic Wal fat V-shape neck profile. Very recently serviced by Paul at Electric Wood who's given it an extraordinary overhaul so it now plays wonderfully. By far the best fretless I've ever played, all the classic growls are there, incredibly touch sensitive and musical in lack of a better word. Somehow it also makes me play more in tune for some reason. Condition is probably around EX, some typical poly lacquer hairline cracks and two dents on the backside lower bout (pictured). Original case is unfortunately long gone due to literally falling apart, comes with an SKB hardcase in very good nick. Really only looking for fretless 5- (or possibly 6) stringers, preferably with a lined fingerboard. Open to more or less any quality brand. *edit* WITHDRAWN *edit*

Interested in any kind of partial trades with money your way?
13. I have a very Carl Thompson-esque fretless for sale made by the swedish luthier Daniel Nadjalin. He might not be the most well-known builder out there but nevertheless it's an awesome bass made to the highest standards. Specs are as follows: Alder body with wenge top. Wenge deep set bolt-on neck with wenge fretboard + maple fretlines. Slim profile, a lot like an early Warwick Thumb. 2 Lane Poor (!) single coil pickups in wenge casings. Passive electronics (vol, vol, tone) Warwick 2-piece bridge. Gotoh machine heads. French polish finish. SKB square hardcase. Sounds awesome, has a perfect balance between burpiness and fatness. Easy to play with a low weight and balances perfectly. Issues: One bridge saddle chip is missing (avilable from Warwick for 2,69 €). An earlier owner has filed wide grooves in the holders for the bridge saddle chips for some unapparent reason, maybe he didn't know that you could adjust the height of the entire bridge... However it doesn't affect the function at all but looks rough. Dings and belt buckle scratches but otherwise in very good shape, the neck is pristine. *sold*
14. Navigator Jazz Bass, ESP:s premium line. As good as it gets. A mix of 60's and 70's specs with four-bolt unbound dot neck (a hair thicker profile than my Fender '62 RI) and 60's placement of the bridge pickup but with ash body and black pickguard a la '70's. The craftmanship is just perfect, better than any Fender CS I've ever laid my hands. Sound and playability is to die for. 100% original. Medium weight, lots of life left in the frets. Heavy duty hardcase. Lots of dings, scratches and checking everywhere from PLAYING, not from relicing. A new one will set you back 3000+ GBP, I'm looking at 700 GBP. Possible trade for fretless 5/6/7 or WHY. *sold*
15. I was asked to show some pictures of my LA Custom Shop Soundgear 7-string so here goes. (insert mandatory appologies for crappy pic quality here)
16. Bump for price drop. Last one I saw this side of the pond went for 2000+ €!
