Yup, there will be the usual For Sale area in the foyer.

Honesty is definitely the best policy, especially if you want to be rebooked. And even if you don't care about the venue, in most cases your reputation will precede you. Many landlords move around pubs in the area, especially if the pubs are part of the same chain, and they will remember the band, for good or for bad.

The gold plate on these basses seems to be a bit poor - Jack's hardware is a little bit discoloured too, although my photos don't highlight the problem. I'm guessing a degree of wear where the hand rests while playing is inevitable. I think that only happens with the gold colour, though - my Bass Collection has black hardware that's clearly been through a different process, and it's not discolouring. Lovely models, both

One-to-one lessons with a good tutor at the very start. Forget about online stuff until you've seen a real person for a few lessons, and got some (almost literal) hand-holding in your first steps.

The band was resurrected as a jazz trio - minus percussions and with a different guitarist - for the Ealing Jazz Festival on 29 July 2017, and a great time was had by all. This was before we started setting up, and before the public was allowed in.
