Sold on eBay - high quality professional poweramp from Martin Audio.
Basically a Lab Gruppen FP2600 .. with different front fascia, very powerful, two channel down to 2 Ohm 1540w per channel, bridged at 4 Ohm 3000w weighing only 8kg !
Complete overkill for my needs but better too much than too little I guess .. you can reduce the power output via MLS switch on back panel by 3bB basically halving the watts to protect your speakers. Also has dip switches on back panel to change input sensitivity. So more compatible with pedal preamps
Please refer to manual etc for more details.
I believe these cost about £1800 new.
Price includes UK postage without used SKB case (Royal Mail special delivery service I use is only up to 10kg)
Trades .. convection cooled (no fans) high quality power amp like :
Glockenklang Bugatti
Pas Audio 2002pca
or Glockenklang BAC head / Steamhammer / Heart Rock II
Quilter BB800

I still have my Bagend 212 & this would look (sound) great next or under it for synth duties but afraid the mrs would either divorce or kill me if I got another cab lol ... I work in Leeds too

Very tasty! I assume that was a custom order? SFX is very much on my radar if I end up going the custom route.
No not custom .. I asked about the m:D2 & Max said it was superseded with a newer version, this m:D3 which I believe is standard. As I wanted separate amp & DI level & a HPF this ticked those boxes .. runs off 9v (even a battery but not sure how long) think voltage might be internally boosted ... takes less 200mA or so

I’ve searched for a long time for the same ... tried boost pedals & tho they do kinda work they either added too much noise or weren’t ‘balanced’ or didn’t give ‘line level‘ or impedance mismatch, I’m no expert on this stuff, read up loads on TB especially
So, bit the bullet & just decided to splash out on the real thing .. really happy except I now want to get a better power amp to match the quality of this preamp lol
sfx m:D3

Is this a custom order? Does it have one DI output but two unbalanced outputs for sending to different amps?
No not custom, just new version I believe ....
XLR out with separate vol/gain / ground lift
TRS/TS out with separate vol/gain / ground lift
Phase reverse switch in case of phasing issue with two power amp
and parallel thru OUT
and newer Thumpinator
and input impedance selector switch
and can work off a 9v battery @200mA (nice as a backup) also 9v parallel out

10' speaker Aline fue cab
in Amps and Cabs
Posted · Edited by sifi2112
Hi Paco,
I recently made a 110 using an Eminence Basslite S2010, really pleased & actually a bit surprised how good & deep it sounds. I used Eminence speaker plans for ‘large ported’ design. I haven’t played it at gig volume so not sure how it holds up with some abuse ...
There are more experienced members who will help / give advice, you might need to provide internal dimensions/port size etc for them
