1. B is fine ... I got/modded this bass as a backup for my Dingwall but it doesn't handle drop A as well as I'd hoped for, hence the sale but I am spoilt a bit with the Dingwall. You're welcome to come try it out ... also check on talkbass as the BBN5 gets pretty good write ups .... it's a good bass for a reasonable price I think. Any other questions just ask away
2. Bradford West Yorkshire
3. This is my old head which I bought new from Electromusic a few years ago I hardly gigged it & got the flight case custom built. I doubt MB1 has gigged this much either since I traded it ... Awesome amp & would buy back if I had the cash .... Never had any issues with it & the asking price it's still less than half new price (not incl case) for a dare I say relatively unused piece of kit ... micro procesdor biases tubes & apparently it'll still work with a blown tube but untested lol .... May become a 'classic' ... Don't mind anyone asking me about this one if seller cliffyspliff doesn't ..?
4. Uh yeah ... I forgot about this but have painted the cab black, can take a pic if you like ?
5. Hi Will, I think Luke is right, I think it's only 8 Ohm bridged. I looked into this before I bought this amp but as my cab was 8 Ohm is was fine. Only really an issue if you only have one 4 Ohm cab as you can only use one channel. Still a great power amp in fab condition & with HPF built in it meant I didn't need a Thumpinator I was planning on getting. Only selling as I've now got a powered cab so surplus ....
6. This is really nice bass that needs a new home
7. I'll be visiting family in Llanidhen last week of July so will hope to drop in
8. I've gone down a slightly different route .... I have my preamp in pedal format so in my 'worst case scenario' I can just take that without a cab/power amp & either use backline or PA ... I initially powered preamp with Yamaha P2500S going into PJB 9B cab but I really liked the idea of a powered cab instead ... unfortunately there aren't many bass specific ones out there but this is what I ended up with ... Darkglass B3K > 3Leaf Audio Enabler > BagEnd PD12-D So far so good but haven't gigged this setup as yet ... The BagEnd 212 cab has a class D power amp built in limited to 500w but surprisingly it doesn't have a volume knob so is at constant full output but I control this with my Enabler preamp ... the cab is a bit heavy for some I guess at 37kg ......
9. Bump ... possible trade for effects / gallien krueger amp
10. Bump ... possible trade for effects ?
11. Bump for these Yamaha single coils (5 string) ... trades welcome
12. So far so good ... might be awhile before I gig or even rehearse with this One cab to rule them all ........;
13. Thanks guys ... I took the plunge & have the powered D12 incoming ......
14. I had a ss one made which I gave to brother in law but think he sold the Geddy bass .. I could ask if he still has it ? Will powder coat nicely ....
15. Little rubber ends electrician uses to insulate wires, I saw him heat em up so they 'shrink'
16. Bought this great Yamaha power amp in excellent condition but an incoming powered cab makes it redundant & I unfortunately need the cash to help cover the cost of new combo ... Here's a rundown & link to the website .... Stereo 2-channel 250w @ 8 Ohms / 310w @ 4 Ohms per channel & 620w bridged @ 8 Ohms (won't do 4 Ohms in bridged) .. adjustable HPF 20-150Hz 19" 2U 14 kg http://www.yamahapro...cifications.jsp http://www.yamahapro...eries/index.jsp
17. Anyone got any comments / opinions etc ? I'm esp interested in the D12 -D which I believe is full range 2x12" no tweeters or mid driver ?
