1. This is probably a silly question, but why don't you get the bass posted? Courier should only be in order of £30-50 I'm happy to look after it for you until you return to the UK if that is of help. Phil
2. It's blue-ish (then again, I am slightly colour blind!). I'll try and get some pictures up tonight. Only problem I had with it is the electronics were a bit noisy - only noticed when upgraded my amp to an EA iAmp. Then had the guys from Overwater service the bass, fix and shield all the electronics. Now plays nicely.
3.
More about the iAmp please
I got the iAmp from Overwater. Head unit is the iAmp 350 (sorry - got the number wrong!) http://www.eaamps.com/2005/customercare/ma.../iAMP350Man.pdf 2 cabs http://www.overwater.co.uk/euphonic_audio_cxl_110.htm Hi-fidelity sound - made a decent trace rig sound distant, processed and lacking.
4. Is it still available? I've got a fretted 765...? Here's hoping
5. Hi all, I'm delighted to find a bass forum in the UK. I'm based in Fife and have been playing bass off and on for a while. (Mostly off!) Main forum for playing is in church, and the occasional ceilidh. Current gear (those of a nervous disposition should probably skip the first 2): - Yamaha RBX-765 (fretted 5-string). Had this serviced 18 months ago as it was noisy and not playing well - got the nice chaps at Overwater to do this, as I was down there anyway. - Cheap (thomann!) harley-benton acoustic. Can't remember the model number, but it's the cheapest 4 they do with a sitka spruce top. This has been marvelous for having handy around the house. - Euphonic Audio iAmp 300 + 2 cabs (CxL 110). Unbelievable amp. Very transparent, loud enough to hurt, handles a 5-string and very compact. I'm currently thinking of buying a 5-string fretless. Budget 250-500 unfortunately - marriage & 2 kids limits the GAS fund. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Cheers, and thanks to the moderators Phil
