I gave the last band I left a month, but said if they needed a dep after that they were free to ask - if available I would help them out.
Give too much notice and the thing gets swept under the carpet in hopes you'll reconsider. -
We don't really say things like that in threads - try a PM.

Is that Jimmy Dewar in your avatar BD? If so you have good taste!
-
I was up on Denmark St today and saw a Shergold Marathon cut from £495 to £250. It wasn't in great nick and had replacement tuners but I was till tempted.
Did I miss out on a bargain?
PS Query: the headstock had a circular hole in it, not the triangular logo - what does that signify? -
The first band I was in, I played rhythm guitar badly and was tolerated cos I wrote all the songs.
The bass player was Jamaican and so cool that both the singer and myself became bassists in later bands!
Don did have a problem, however - our sole publicity shot (which we sent to the papers) was under exposed and, when reproduced in the local rags, showed four white blokes, a gap and a broadly grinning set of teeth... -
Worcester Park closed (or rather they turned the function room into a car park!).
Pete does Sutton United now.
I would not fancy being a promoter in the current climate - I think he does an all right job.

Good luck - you have taste!
My band (in Hampshire) do The Hunter (and yes I know they didn't write it!) -
I can't get over how lucky I've been recently. I've even won the Reader's Digest Prize Draw!
Don't mock, Jack - I returned the form once and won a telly.
Took so long to arrive though I couldn't remember why it was being delivered - nearly returned it! -
Agree with Yorks 5 Stringer.
I too had a ticket for a gig in the 70s but they'd packed in by the time they got 'down sarf'. The 2000 tour was good but no comparison. -

Funnily enough Nick said the same about you!
As you can see from my avatar this is a good look. Well done Clarky... -
I sold Clarky a bass. He paid me upfront, quickly, no questions asked and was a total gent. Cheers mate!
PS he also knows a lot about Metallica -
First four albums were fabulous - jazz loving musicians playing rock.
Since then, they have been rock musicians playing (or trying to play) jazz. Not so good. -
+1 for the Precision brotherhood!
I thought the original was done with both of them hating each other...?
hence "One of these days i'm gonna cut you into little pieces" -
+1 for 'origonal' thought!

I've had both and didn't really notice a big difference...except in the weight!

Don't worry, Reece, we all love to show off our knowledge (and then sell you our unwanted gear!)
Welcome... -
Weird, eh?

Aren't you playing it in your avatar?

When I sold mine the best new price was £229. Considering the case is about £100 and I got £150 for my (caseless) S/H one I think this looks well priced.
-
I have one of these, same colour. Gorgeous - in fact I think I'll take it with me to my gig 2nite! Give em all a shock on the encores...
Good luck - someone'll get a bargain.
PS Mine doesn't have an F on the trussrod cover, just B-301 even tho' it's f-less. -
Hello again Ben!
Sorry if I was a bit rude - I'm delighted you are going to be a 'contributing member', as it's the shared experiences that make this board what it is. At least, when you've spent up all available money on gear, which I have...hence my snappy retort!
Keep the comments coming, you're more than welcome even if you are a k******dist! (Oh dear, spoiled it now haven't I?)
All the best.
I hate to mention the C word already, so.. Xmas songs
