I put one on a Schecter I had, mainly because the top of the pickup was such an awkward shape, it was unfortable to use. Never did get a good tone out of it though, and chopped it for my Jazz.

Will let you know when I get it all back

Stolen about 4pm yesteday from home in milton keynes, 2 basses, quite distinctive looking, the Jazz had a John East preamp fitted after that pic was taken, but you get the idea. Have posted the pics to all local guitar shops and cash converters, but if you see anything I would appreciate a PM. Also my Boss ME-20B effects unit with associated FS-6 footswitch and my Sennheiser Freeport wireless system, both in aluminium flightcases.
Not best pleased at moment
Sorry I missed the Daves gig Lozz, was kinda busy
Cheers all

Meh! -
Best kind...doncha just LOVE repeat bookings?
-
Good luck on a great gig!

Used a TU-2 for years, perfect, no issues other than guitarist who wanted to borrow it lol. Now use the tuner in my Boss ME20B multi effects unit, just as good, handles my 5 string no worries, and guitarist has blagged my TU2..... DOH!

Yay,just off the M25 easier for me to get to too two.......erm......
Did I OD on the 2's there? -
My Yamaha makes a horrible clicking noise when I dig in on the E string, I tried evrything I can think of, buts its still there and can be heard in the mix too
I presume I'm clagging the string so hard its either bouncing off another fret or the pup, but when I get into the choon the last thing I want to do is ease up -

We really are just a pub covers band, we tend to leave people smiling after a gig, and always get repeat bookings, but we dont really 'have' a following. The email came direct to the band email address, and our guitarist, who runs the website has spoken with the fella and seems impresssed, maybe I am just a cynical old goat, but I am wondering if this is in our best interests.

We've recently had an email via band website from this lot www.eliteacts.com
Now we are just a pub rock covers band who do all our own bookings, and we are reasonably happy with the way things stand. I'm not really sure what an agent can do for us, so I guess my questions are going to be
A) has anyone ever heard/used this outfit
do we NEED an agent at our level of committment
C) what are the pitfalls we need to watch out for if we DO decide to play along.
Cheers all

Love Slade Alive, possibly the best live LP evah! grew up loving Slade as a rock band, I forgive them the 'glam' tag

Nothing wrong with green on a bass, my Black Jazz has a green sparkly pickguard and my Yam has the green DR neons on it. they both look great

When I first started I had a few lessons but I soon learnt nothing beats practice! learn some scales, play them all over the fretboard....learn the Fretboard! Play along with easy songs, almost anything from U2 is a good start! Good luck, and welcome!

Thanks for all the replies folks, most of em echo my fears I must say, and had a long chat with the band member who was conacted by this guy last night, and I think we are all on the same wavelength now. Its unlikely we will go down this route I think. No agent can offer us much more than what we do now (and enjoy) so why pay a third party?
