Skip the 1st few mins? No feckin way!! looked like a Tele headstock to me... not that I know much!
-
Bugger! that was my very thought too!
-
That was very good, if only we were....I'd love to have something like that to walk on to!
-
Not my cup of meat, sorry.
-
Yup about a 4 min walk and right under our Birmingham office, spent many a lunchtime mooching in there!

That's cool
I'm in Aylesbury but we plan to play Berkhampstead / Hemel etc as well as Aylesbury.
The other chaps come from that way.
We rehearse in my back garden and even my misses said we sounded good (and she doesn't often complement me )
I will post when we have our first gig!

Woohoo! we rehearse in Aylesbury, will be there today, drummer hails from those parts. If you here the strains of 'Waiting For An Alibi' wafting around near Tesco's..that'll be us!!
If you want to gig round Hemel, get the band to the Oddfellows Arms in Apsley on a Tue night, they do Jam nights and it gives you a chance to show the boss what you can do, we got a gig in May out of it. -

AAARGHH that is just painful..gave up after 2 mins, couldn't stop cringing! -
I play for fun, and the buzz when it goes well, money earned funds my gear (almost)
Its a nice feeling when you are cranking out a busy bassline and it goes well, but I am just as happy bangin' out roots tbh! -
Yup current band is a real hoot, rehearsals are full of laughter, and everyone puts in the time. I suggested a song last Wed, we rehearsed it Sat, and I reckon we could gig it tomorrow, including the twin guitar harmonies! we also cover Bucks...hope we ain't gonna be competing for gigs!!
edit: georgeH we are playing The Bull in Bracknell 4th feb if ya wanna come take the mickey! -
Random quote of the day methinks!

Fine by me, I love my Eden gear and Marshall service is:-
A: bloody brilliant and
B: a 30 second walk from work! -
Used to gig a Laney RB6 regular, with a 4x10 extension (which I still have) good enough for most pubs! Sound was a bit woolley but not too bad at all, I think I just spoiled myself when I went to Eden!
-
Was the bass plugged into the amp at the time?
-
Trace stuff, most people here say nice things about the sound....but HATE the weight, they are like lugging a small country around..apparently!
-
love my MIM Jazz, just feels a bit heavy compared to the Yamaha though.

He actually does this at least once on the studio version too.

Aye just before 1st chorus, which is why you hear Bowie say 'get back on it' on the single. -
Hey there, from the town of MARSHALL! (also now incorporating Eden)

UV writing in the cavities, as well.
Were the guys known to the OP?
[/quote]
Not to me no, but well known to police, def a couple of low life habitual housebreakers, it seems it was just our turn
Luckily I still have my 5 string, which they abandoned in the garden, and an old Squier PJ special, which they missed and is now getting some serious attention as I hadn't played it for years lol!
Smartwater sounds a great idea. gonna get me some -
It's Rolling Stone....Knobs is a given!
-
lol I covered the 2 local cash converters too!
-
Just had a peek at your set list..some great stuff there, not seen ANY other band do the Stretch song, just us and you I think! Really needs some horns to liven it up when we do it..how do you manage?
-
I had mine stolen....but I got it back now
-
All gear was shown to me last night by CID, ain't got it back yet but have positively ID'd it. No damage at all I that can see, they even polished everything up to make it nice and shiny for selling lol! my flight cases never looked so clean!!
All band related stickers were removed, but hey...I have plenty of those!
Thanks everyone for your replies, its great to talk about this, helps me sort things out in me 'ead and recover my sense of wellbeing (oops hippy warning!!)
Moral of whole sad story?
Make sure you have decent pics of all your gear!!.....Oh and remember to note serial numbers (I will now)
