New guy chiming in... I've played the LH heads through hydrive cabs and they give gobs of power, definition and clarity. Gobs. However the EQ section is tone stack, ala Fender, so setting everything at 5 actually gives you a scooped, smiley-face EQ. Flat EQ is actually 9-3-9 on bass-mid-high

I think the issue would be how the TC 450 series amps give the performance of a 450 watt amp head through ingenious engineering but their true output is only 133w and 236w at 8 and 4 ohm respectively.

@davidak: could you outline how you removed the casing of your classic450? I bought one used that had a ding in the casing that I'd like to try to repair. Seems pretty straightforward to get the casing off, but just to be sure I don't wreck anything...
