1.
Hi, I have an Ashdown ABM115 Neo For Sale. I found out who makes the cabs for Ashdown, Trace, Cornford, HiWatt, Sound City and some more. When Ashdown changed the handle design about a year ago they had a couple of cabs with the old square handles sitting around. They put a Celestion 15" Neo in it for me, (400 Watt), and I also asked for a horn to be put in. Sound really good. It doesn't have Ashdown Badge, (because they would get in trouble), but is the real deal. It has had little use and is pretty much immaculate and quite light for a ported 15" cab. The guy i dealt with told me Ashdown are now using Jenson neos in their cabs and in his opinion the Celestion is better. The genuine Ashdown version seems to be about £600 I paid £250 for it less that a year ago, (the speaker cost over £100), but would let it go for £175. I also specified Speakon sockets rather than jacks. I also had casters fitted. Have some pics if you are interested. Send me your e-mail address. Cheers,
Thanks for the offer mate but it's not quite what I'm looking for. Sounds like a nice cab though, good luck with the sale
 2.
Hi Biggsy I've got a Hartke 115XL sitting around doing nothing. Obviously it's not as light as a 115TP but many people believe the XLs sound better than the TPs.... I bought it new about 2 years ago and for the last year it hasn't left the house so it's in very good condition. It sounded great paired with a 210, so it'll sound amazing with a 410 I reckon. Interested?
Potentially, if it saves me some money.. What's your best price?

Wonder how expensive it'll get?!
I saw that today as well, it looks lovely - and I'm not usually a Trace fan..
 4.
ok thanks...I may be in touch about the cab but im still deciding whether im going to get a 4x10 or a 6x10... As far as the head goes one of the things i liked was the full conrol of the pre settings... so ill leave the head but may be in touch in a few weeks if it hasnt gone depending on what i decide on. Thanks
Ok mate, the pot may well be fixed by then so keep in touch
 5. Yep, this is the 3500 (the older style one which I understand to be identical to the re-issue) - it is 350 watts @ 4 Ohms. Currently with the singular 4x10 8 ohm cab it produces 250 watts. If you add another 8 ohm cab such as a 1x15 at a later date (as I had planned to) you'll get the full 350 watts of 'doom'. Trust me, volume will not be an issue with the single cab - I still use it for all my gigs, (pubs & clubs mainly) and I've still never pushed it past 4. Hmm. I hadn't planned to sell the head quite yet, in all honesty I'm really happy with it. Bad points for you to be aware of are that it's got quite a bit of rack-rash, plus the tube pot is stuck at 100% thanks to another gear-sharing pleb. That's how it sounds best to my ears so I haven't paid the 40 quid to get it fixed. I could be swayed into selling it with the cab for the right money - an identical model (with working tube pot!) went for 170 quid last week, so I'll reluctantly say 290 for both, collected.
 6. I'm looking to upgrade my rig, currently consisting of a Hartke 3500 with a 410 Transporter cab. Ideally I'm looking for a trade on the cab, but a cash sale will do me just fine. The cab is pretty light for a 4x10 from what I understand - plus it's rolling on 4 heavy duty lockable castors. It's 350w @ 8 Ohms, and has been a total workhorse for me over the last couple of years having seen many gigs & never once letting me down. It's been well looked after, although it does have a small cigarette burn on the top where some pleb using my gear left his fag during a warmup. I've removed the 'Transporter' badge from the front, and the grill has a couple of small dings. I'd be looking for 125 quid for the cab. I'll sort pictures later if anyone's interested. Before sepnding to long on these forums and lusting after expensive top-end cabinets, I would probably have gone along the path of adding a 115 to the 410 to utilise all of my wattage. So, if anyone has a used Hartke 115TP cab, for the right price I'd take it off yer hands. Otherwise, I'm looking for a pair of used 8 Ohm 350+ Watt top-end cabs. Ideally I want to try out the Eden range, specifically the 210 and 115XLT, but will genuinely consider any 2x10 / 1x15. My budget is around the 250 quid mark per cab, more if in part-ex, and less if it's for both at once. I know I'm being ambitious here, but being the grinch that I am I thought there may be a chance of someone offloading some surplus gear for some Christmas cash. Feel free to PM me with any offers. Cheers!
 7.
The ASIO full duplex driver should only be available if you have it selected in the device setup. I would have thought that it would be MOTU ASIO or something, indicating that the motu driver is activated, not the standard ASIO driver.
That's what I thought too - fingers crossed I've just not set it up right.. I'll give it some time over the weekend, hopefully work it out. Cheers again!
 8.
When you go on device settings, and you choose the ASIO driver, you choose the motu driver yeh?
Yeah
And then, when you click to change the audio inputs on a channel, what are the names of the options you have?
I'll check this tonight when I get in, although I'm pretty sure it was just 'Microsoft GS Wavesynth' (or similar) and 'AISO full duplex driver', which is the same as my work computer that's never seen a 'Mo-Fo' :S
You might have to create a number of VST inputs, routed from the motu, and you can do this in the vst inputs panel.
Ok cool, many thanks for your advice! I'll have another fiddle tonight and let you know what happens
 9.
MB1. Hello Moto!.......Sorry!
Ha, it's touted as the 'mo-fo' now that I can't work it properly!
 10. I've naively never paid much attention to impedance, although haven't messed around with different cabs or heads yet. Figured it would be useful now I'm looking to upgrade, and reading through the article Crazykiwi posted it makes sense now; cheers for that. Just so I'm sure I've got the right end of the stick; I currently use a Hartke HA3500 heard with a Hartke 410TP cab. The head is rated 350w @ 4 Ohms / 250w @ 8 Ohms. The cab is rated 300w @ 8 ohms, so that means at the moment I'm only getting 250w, right? The next thing I plan to upgrade is my cabs, and I want to try out the Eden XLT series. If I get a 210XLT and a 115XLT (both rated 350w @ 8 Ohms) and use them in parrallell (one from each output on the head?) that would result in an impendance of 4 Ohms and full use of my current 350w? *Edit: I now notice the 115XLT is 400w @ 8 ohm, which in my understanding would be fine in the above setup? I really hope I'm at least close to the money on the maths with this, otherwise I fear I'll never understand!
 11. I think you're right, if it works for Mac there's no reason it shouldn't on PC, and cheddatom agrees; I don't know what more to say really, it's more than likey me doing something wrong but I can't select the MOTU as either an 'in' or an 'out' for any audio channel. I thought I wold be able to select the MOTU as an output of a VST instrument, but it's not an option. I also expecteed to be able to connect my DI to an input on the MOTU, create an audio channel in Cubase and select the particuar channel from the MOTU in order to be able to record audio, alas, again, the MOTU isn't an option.. In the device setup menu, if I go into the control panel for the AISO settings the MOTU is visible as an input and an output port - if I toggle their status to 'active' and move them to the top of the list, and run a buffer/sync check, Cubase reports back that the configuration is fine. However, this still doesn't make any channels of the MOTU available as inputs or outpusts of any audio channels. Strangely when I restart Cubase after this, it runs the Buffer and Sync check automatically and fails. This is where I keep getting stuck - I've followed the setup instructions to the best of my knowledge, I'm hoping I'm just doing something wrong. Does anything I've said stand out as an error to anyone?!
 12. ~ YOINK! ~ Ha, yeah I've been wanting to try one of these and just so happened to see the post go up! Cheers again.
 13.
Morley PWO power wah pedal. True bypass. excellent condition. £38 inc P&P
I'll have that mate! Paypal or bank transfer?!
 14. Mine's in my sig! Recorded live in one take at 'Jigsaw Studios' in Frognall. (Highly reccomended studio, Tom's a ledge-rat!)
 15. I have a MOTU 828 (Mk1) and used to use it with Logic (for PC) to do all my recordings. Logic was a real pain in the ass; I admit I'm not one to sit and read the manual before I get stuck in, and setting it up to record multiple tracks was easy enough, but anything further than that was a mystery - not even slightly intuative (perhaps becuase it's mainly a Mac application) and the instructions were none too helpful. I've started using Cubase SX 3 at work, and love it to bits. I've been working mainly with synths and samples (no audio recording yet, just use of an M-Audio midi control unit with VST's etc) and have found that all aspects of the editing / mastering process are so intuative, and I find everything where I expect it to be. I want to start using Cubase instead of logic for my audio recordings, as well as use the MOTU to output my synths (played in Cubase) to a PA in a live situation. The trouble I'm having is that no matter what I try, I cannot get Cubase to recognise the MOTU; I've installed the 828's most recent drivers, setup the AISO drivers for Cubase and the MOTU and run numerous system tests, but I just can't seem to get them to work together. Is anyone having success with this setup? Or does anyone know of any incompatibility issues between the MK1 MOTU 828 and Cubase? Hundreds of google searches later and I'm still none the wiser; I know it's a stab in the dark but thought someone here might be able to help shed a little light?!
 16. Awesome. I want it. The Mrs would kill me
 17. I actually noticed that only a few days ago, and it is very lame.. I've never bought anything off TB, always too worried about shipping costs (especially on cabs) / import duty / damage / voltage differences etc, but after hearing that you've had success I might start looking again, cheers!
 18. Ah legendary, that's what we like to hear! TalkBass is great; the first thing I looked for on here was a 'post your pedalboard' or 'mini rigs of doom' megathread to see how we stack up, although their for sale sections were nothing short of torture. Everything so cheap, rare items popping up all the time, and essentially impossible to get your hands on anything! Glad to find somewhere with it all in one place, that's gonna save me months in ebay searches!
 19. Greetings all, thought I'd introduce myself as it seemed the polite thing to do! I'm a convert from talkbass.com; only stumbled on this forum a few days ago while scouring the net for gear. I've recently developed serious G.A.S. for all things great and small, and will more or less be living in the classifieds! Currently I use a (lefty) Warwick Corvette $$ through a Hartke 3500, with a 410TP Cab. Oh, and I'm a huge Electro Harmonix pervert!
 20. I'll have that off you mate, 40 quid posted to Cambridge cover it?
