1. Bump for a price updated !! 300 € / 245 £ for each
2. Open to trade for a small but quality 1x10 bass combo, stereo amplified cabs monitors or bass guitar Also interested by a Digital Analog converter
3. Another possibilty is to use an amplified cab like the Roland D-Bass 115-x (bi amplifier of 250w for the 15' and 80w for tweeter) It will make a big difference And of course I have one for sale here...
4. Price update !! See below Now the 115x is now SOLD, the 115 combo is still for sale The combo (115) and the amplified cab (115x) are in near mint condition It's a very good amp in perfect working condition No fan is used These heavy cabs are strong and stiff so the sound is great and focused. But with these neo speakers the total weight is only around 25kg for each cab D-Bass 115 : [s]400[/s] € [s]300 €[/s] 250 € (about [s]315[/s]£ [s]245[/s]£ 210£) D-Bass 115x : SOLD Shipping to France for one element : 35€ Shipping to UK and Europe for one piece : 65€ (about 52£)
5. I have bought one of these used recently. It' s simply the best head of all time ! And it cost me more than that. Go for it !
6. No, the logo is not fullerton I have a fullerton 62 jazz bass bought from a renowed usa shop + Everybody can search for pics and understand that (Google ?)...
7. I can make my opinion on authenticity with multiple informations and détails. Sorry but the serial n° is high, that' s true as Gareth said. I don' t understand how 84 can be read on that the neck ? Neck is the only way to tell the year of the bass of that period (pots are all 82, serial is not adjacent, I just never saw a fullerton with a n° that high). But yes it' s possible. If I read this neck, 6 is the last n°, not 4 There is some détails that didn' t match for a fullerton. The logo is wrong. At this time my opinion is an early corona (86 ?) with some fullerton specs (not all of them) or a it can be a fullerton with a replaced neck. Yes some details change on fender depending on the period. But there is not a lot of exceptions from a period... Just ignorance about details that we all have.
8. Still there ? to my opinion this is a true "JV export" Pbass. Generally they are really, really good, and here a good price Free bump
9. Yes please, I would like a photo of the neck date I have a doubt... as some early corona have lots in common with fullerton To my opinion some aspects are fulleron, others are corona, especially the neck Pots are the same on fullerton to corona from 86/88, and it is really difficult to read the neck date on these photos... But it looks like a 86 neck Well I think it really need a clarification. I present my apologize if I' m wrong;
10. Hello, would like some pics of the neck... The date near the trussrod seems unreadable
11.
Secondly : By stating that stamps are present in non custom shop instruments are you implying that this may not be a Custom shop bass at all?
Of couse not, I' m implying that this is not a proof of being a masterbuilt (made by one builder). I understand your answer and will not continu to post on your add. But I was interested by a masterbuilt, this is why I previously asked you for détails. And it' s a forum. Accuracy is trully important as price tag.
12. That bass is not a masterbuilt because it must be made by one person to be a masterbuilt. The john cruz signature in the neck Pocket means he have made some parts on this bass (exemple : the body) nothing more. Ok ? And the different stamps, logos you describe means it' s a team built. Signatures and stamp are present in a lot of fender, even non custom shop instrument. These relic 60's are generally really good as most team built CS.
13.
There is no certificate with this bass. Im not sure if they came with them back in 1997, perhaps they did?
Yes, they did
The serial number and pickups date it to 1997 (Cunetto era) John Cruz is stamped in the neck pocked and relic is stamped on the body underneath the pickguard. The Custom shop logo is also stamped into the back of the headstock. Unlike the current obvious decals, this is subtle and hard to see when not up close so most people assume this bass is the real deal when they pick it up.
Well according to your description, what you have there is a CS "relic 60's jazz bass" from the cunetto era but absolutely not a CS masterbuilt... If I' m wrong I will present my apologise for such an ignorance. Sincerely.
14. Do you have the cerficate ? And a photo of the neck and CS logo ? Thanks
15.
Guys, for anyone's interested: I went to the shop again. I didn't manage to remove neck/pus/pots to check dates, but the shop attendant was confirming that the bass was not actually manufactured at fullerton. I didn't spend time or words discussing about the fact that this was what they actually wrote on their website and it was somewhat odd that they claimed for that knowing this was not true.. I only told them that my main problem was with price, that the bass sounded good but I didn't have all that money, especially since we were concluding the bass was not actually a fullerton but a standard AVRI.
I hate those sellers, putting wrong infos deliberatly... Especially when the price is more than the double of the real market value, and you know they exactly know what they are doing, horrible. About the musical quality of the bass, I need a few months of playing, testing situations, set of strings and setup to really know if a bass is the one. Because I' ve tried bass that can give me a great feel in a shop, but last week, in the same shop, they didn' t. To much factors. weather (temperature, humidity), setup of the bass, me and my sentitivity of the day (If I want to play or not really...) And It' s also true about bass I' m not immediatly impressed by at first time and then, with time I appreciate. But it' s of course possible to be able to evaluate an instrument with experience; I just want to say accuracy need time. But well, it's not a fullerton, it's a corona so : about 1000£ if it' s a good one. And there is a lot of good corona RI62 on the used market...
16. I agree. To me it's not a fullerton, serial number is too high. Also the sunburst is not the typical sunburst for a fullerton. And the separate "offset contour body" detached logo is really strange... for a fullerton. I'm quite surprised by the answer you get on fenderforum... Well, as I say "we never know everything" , but actually this is my opinion. Perhaps some other expert will speak
17.
I don't have one but I found it. The problem is that I'm not able to test it and to my experience, especially with Fender, this is the essence. I don't trust any origin, model name, or dating when it comes to Fender: in the shop were I found the Fullerton I also tested a Custom Shop, an original '68 and an original (still IMMACULATE) '69 and the Fullerton was the best to my ears and hands. I found really EXCELLENT mexican standard Js that to me were easily worth a Custom Shop in terms of playability and sound... Why you say it's not a Fullerton? thanks again, Luca
To my actual knowledge, the logo and sunburst type are not fullerton. I don' t say I know everything ok ? But I suggest you to post on the fenderforum. It' s important because even a real 85 corona fender cannot be sell as a fullerton, and the value is not the same. Concerning your taste, if you find a mexican jazz better than a CS buy it ! I think CS reissue are the best fender ever. But they are not allways the closest to the real deal. A fullerton or a corona RI fender are sometimes closer to the real 60's fender in terms of feel and sound, more direct and simple. The CS is a sort of "boutique" fender with a detailed/complexe sound I have never find in an old fender.
