1. Will waive the shipping bump. So £895 to your door.
2. Still available for Christmas!
3. Nut width 1.65" so smack in between Jazz and Precision widths.
4. Nope, both controls are stacked, so vol/vol one for each pickup, blend as you like. and stacked bass/treble cut and boost with centre indent on the controls. Does that make sense? Works great, is quiet and hugely powerful. Simples!
5. Pics speak louder than words, but it has the original Bartolini 2 band EQ or TBT as it says on the can. Physically it looks like the Spector "Tone Pump" module
6. Yup will take trades in answer to some questions, but cash preferred.
7. Dating I believe from the serial number to 1992 the first year of Sonus production. Made in USA with graphite neck. High gloss natural finish. Original Bartolini pickups and active EQ. Stacked Vol/Vol & stacked Bass/Treble Controls. Frighteningly low and buzz free action, which of course can be adjusted to suit your style, this low action does make her lightening quick to play though. There is a small ding in the neck where it meets the body under the strings, probably from over zealous slapping (which Zon's are famous for). There is some varnish play wear below the controls on the front & a small scuff below the lower strap button on the rear edge, these aren't particularly noticeable. At some stage I think she had a midi pick up fixed against the bridge as there is some glue residue. I guess this could be cleaned off. A couple of small scuffs on the head stock tip. None of this detracts from what is a stunningly good looking bass, with a huge powerful output offering a full range of tones and super quick action. This is 20 years old and made in the USA, don't be confused with the current Zon import models. £895 [s]plus £25 insured shipping[/s]. 13.
super looking thang indeed. You're from Ipswich - not far from me! What band does ya play in? I'm selling a 73 Precision soon. If this still available, I'll have it for sure!
Band link at bottom of my posts.
14.
I used to own one of these and they are a brilliantly eccentric and wonderful bass. I cannot recommend the piezo enough and recording with the twin outputs gives you a great deal of flexibility.
Yup great sounding bass with a great range of tones.
15. Used Italia Mondial bass. Features semi-acoustic body. Passive and Active Pickups each with there own controls & output Jack. One is a standard humbucker type the other is a bridge mounted piezo pickup. Some wonderful tones are available and the outputs can be blended externally a bit like the output on a Rickenbacker bass. Great condition, small area of buckle rash on the back and one hairline crack in the thick clear coat finish on the top edge (see pic 5). The battery compartment lid is missing and I have it secured with tape & a couple of the control knob caps have gone astray, I guess these can be replaced. Nice light bass with some great retro styling. The thumb rest is on a slider and can be moved to suit your fingering style, very cool feature. Comes in good quality padded Ritter gig bag. £250 plus £10 Shipping.
