1. Thanks for the offer but I'll pass. I'm not in a rush to sell.

    Heres one for comparison:

  2. I'm selling my fully working and very clean condition TC Electronic G-Major multi effects unit. I has built in EQ, noise gate, compressor, reverbs, delays, wahs, octaver, tremolo, phaser, flanger etc each of which can be switched in / out from the front panel as required. I have been using this via my effects loop and found the compressor (and all the effects) to just add their effect without changing the fundamental sound of the bass. Comes with operating manual.

The screen in the first couple of photos does not show up too well. This was due to the flash - last pic shows its working great. The only reason I am selling is I bought the newer version. :) I'm looking for £150 (plus shipping) from Aberdeen.

  3. I'm selling my fully working and very clean condition JoeMeek VC6Qcs British Channel pre-amp. Its got built in pad for high gain inputs, line in and effects insert on the back. The EQ can be switched in / out as required, as can the highly adjustable compressor. Comes with original operating manual.

I'm looking for [s]£150[/s] £130 (plus shipping) from Aberdeen. SOLD

  4. Just as it says in the topic, I have 3 rack cases for sale. Each of them is in good condition with all latches and handles working. Postage cost from Aberdeen would depend on where you live.

Update - for guidance on shipping cost the 3U or 4U standard rack would be approx £15 by Parcelforce48. The 4U extra deep would be about £18 by Parcelforce48

3 Unit case made by CP Cases - £50 - NOW SOLD

4 Unit case made by CP Cases - £50

4 Unit case (extra deep - great for cable storage) made by Freestyle - £50

    ....or all 3 for £130

  5. OK....I was in "grumpy old man" mode this morning when I clicked on the vid......

3 seconds in and I'd already written it off as pesky young kids about to murder a Stevie Wonder tune....I mean look at her texting on her phone...pah!
9 seconds in....quite like the guitar riff...a bit different.....
20 seconds and the groove had started......ooh!
    27 seconds its all coming together....nice voice.......ah the penny drops......shes not texting....its the lyrics...doh!

Nice chilled groove, you can hear everything and its all fitting nicely together, lots going on idividually but no-one overpowering. After listening to it for the 6th or 7th time (I guess I must have liked it! :) ) "grumpy old man" had reteated and "chilled old man" :sun_bespectacled: is now trying to find a way to be able to download this to his [s]gramophone [/s]...er iPod.

    Nice one.

  6. Evening all.....this is a bass and musically related sale so hopefully doesnt fall foul of the rules....

Due to my friend not being able to go to the gig I have 1 spare ticket for Bela Fleck & The Flecktones (with a certain Mr Victor Wooten on bass) at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Thursday the 19th Jan. The doors open at 6.30pm show starts at 7.30pm. Seat is second row from the front in the Arena Stalls centre section (B13). Any closer and you'd be on his bass amp! I'm asking the face value of the ticket £23.00

Heres links to the venue and seating plan:

Might even be able to help with travel if you're coming from Aberdeen-ish :)

    Hi Acebassmusic,

Thanks for the welcome. Good to know there are plenty of North East folk here.

I see from your gear list you are using a Barefaced cabinet. I'm thinking of going down the Barefaced route. Would you recommend?
Barefaced - I've only ever tried the Big Twin T so based on that and Alex's customer service......yip I'd recommend seriously looking at them. I hear the other models perform beyond usual expectations. Do a bit of a search on here and you'll see what I mean :)
