1. Reluctantly looking to sell me Wizzy 12, it's in great condition showing only very light signs of wear. It's surprisingly loud for such a small cab, I regularly gigged it by itself with a heavy handed drummer and never had any issues. Very articulate sounding cab with a great tight low end, works great for either electric or upright. Based in Melton Mowbray (East Midlands) Happy to ship at buyers expense. Looking for £[s]400, £375.[/s] Now £350!!! including delivery within the UK. Make me an offer
2. For sale is my trusty Mosfet Bassdrive, great sounding overdrive/distortion with the added bonus of a boost channel. In good condition with a few minor surface scuffs and some wear on the bottom from removed velcro. These can be a pain to come by now they're discontinued and seem to go for ridiculous money on ebay so grab a deal here! Looking for £95 posted in the UK. Pricedrop! £80 including UK postage.
3. Bought this a couple of weeks ago but it's not quite what I'm looking for. Immaculate condition and quite hard to come by now that they've been discontinued. Looking for £150 posted in the UK. Check out the ovnilabs review for more information on the pedal - http://www.ovnilab.c...ws/pwnzor.shtml Make me an offer Pricedrop to [s]£130[/s] £120 including UK postage

5. Hi All, I have a P/J bass wired up as vol/vol/tone and have noticed a definite difference in the character of the P pickup sound compared to my straight up P bass. I was wondering if it might be to do with the fact that on this bass there is a single coil in the circuit? If this is the case, is there an easy way to be able to take the single coil out of the circuit to get that hollow/grindy P bass tone but then pop it back in when I want something more modern sounding? Cheers in advance!
6. That's a shame, been looking for a new short scale as a backup for the mustang...
7. Would you consider a smallsound/bigsound f*** overdrive or mini as a trade? You can get some pretty extreme fuzz out of either and I probably don't really need both...
8. I double checked the fit and played around with the rotation of the pickup bit it just wasn't the sound I was after. Each to their own I guess. I've found that the stock pickup is super sensitive to the placement of the bridge within the little plastic bit, If i move it even a tiny bit from where it's currently set it sounds dreadful but there's a sweet spot where it sounds genuinely pretty good. The Fdeck hpf pre makes a world of difference too, I don't like the sound at all without it.
9. I got the full circle and wasn't too impressed, it was pretty nasal and took a lot of eqing to get a good sound. Then I tried the yamaha pickup with my Fdeck pre, sounds pretty darn good, probably should have thought of that before i spent a fortune on a pickup! Thank god for Thomann returns policies...
10. I'm thinking of putting a full circle on my Silent Bass and have seen that a few other people have done it and liked the results. I was just wondering if anyone know which sized adjusters to buy? I don't have a calliper to measure the current ones so any info would be super helpful. Cheers!
11. I've heard a bunch of good things about Belcantos but I think that the tension might be too much for me (I'm used to Velvet blues which have a few kilos less tension per string). Has anyone had any experience with tuning the Solo set of strings to standard pitch? If so how did it sound/feel? Cheers in advance.
12. Scratch that, I've just seen Bassico do them and they're miles cheaper there.
13. Thanks for the replies! Yeah, I was pretty lucky with the bass!!! Which gauge of the Velvet Garbos did you use, the standard or the lights? From what I hear they look to be a fantastic pizz string, which is exactly what I'm looking for, the sound clips on the Herve Jeanne bass string matrix sound amazing but wowzer are they expensive! Anyone know if a UK/EU stockist that's reasonable?
14. So i've recently been given a Yamaha Silent Bass by a friend and want to switch the strings over to something of a better quality. I really love the sound of gut strings on an upright, I know I'm never going to get there with this set up but I was wondering if anyone had some advice as to what might get me going in that direction? It's mainly the articulate 'snap' at the start of the note and the shorter, less growly sustain that I'd like to aim for. So far I've been recommended Evah Pirazzi's and Innovation Silver Slaps, any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
