1.
Hi Rusty

Just joined BASSCHAT but have been reading everything!!

I bought a Stagg EDB last Christmas from GAK http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/, it's nut cracked and when I took it to a local music shop for repair he pointed out that the fingerboard was warped as well. It was repaired, I have been teaching myself only playing with headphones, I had just bought a chromatic tuner plugged it in with the jack and the jack socket broke.......

Anyway I sent it back under guarantee to GAK, their agent couldn't repair it but replaced it with a blue one. (It came this morning Monday)

To answer your question Alex Hill at GAK told me the suppliers had a red and blue I chose the blue, so I reckon if you phone Alex at GAK his supplier should still have the red Stagg EDB in stock.

Alex at GAK was really excellent in dealing with my issues and kept phoning me up and letting me know what was going on, rather than going on the website you need to phone up and go through to internet and online sales and ask for Alex and explain you want the Stagg EDB and I'm sure he'll sort you out.

    cheers

welcome to basschat Kembo. really want one in violin burst maybe dark brown at a push. ive spent the day ringing everywhere and blue red or black is my only option. so looks like im gonna have to wait for another month or so. and the price will prob go up!

  2. OK when i get home from work tonight im gonna sort out my fx and build a new board. pedals are BOSS TUNER, BOSS OVER DRIVE, BOSS CHORUS, CHEAP PHASER , CHEAP VOLUME PEDAL and MXR D.I +

my main concern is where to put the MXR. now it currently sits at the end of my chain just before the volume pedal but should it be moved to the front for its distotion?

    how would chatters do it??

  3. everyday my love for mike watt grows a little more. so i am toying with the idea of getting a cheap SG for my spare bass. anybody used one, got one, recomend one? or should i just get one of those bargin squire jazz basses that have just dropped in price. I do like SG guitars burt have never used the bass version.
    any advice?

    as were Shelter/Ray Cappo

  5.
1. The Hanson Brothers, Weds 5th Nov, Brighton
    2. Motorhead / Saxon / Danko Jones, Thurs 6th Nov, Brighton

Both these dates coincide with the in-laws coming all the way from Alnwick for their grand-daughters 1st birthday, unfortunately. For them.
wicked live. saw them at the basement in leeds a few years back. got very drunk and pumped a hottie. good night in all.

  6.
I think this is a good case to show that having a written 'Band Agreement' in place to cover such eventualities is worth it's weight in gold.
The exact same happened to me. I just put my notice in as per the agreement (2 months if I remember correctly) and there was no arguing because we all agreed the terms up front in the beginning.
and then the replaced you with Ian H Watkins. you must be gutted.

  7.
Poppycock. There are loads of bands making exciting music, you just need to look for it.
