  1. ^ THIS Tinning components really helps the whole process - and not just the speed at which you can get the component attached. I find it also really helps reduce both the total amount of solder you need, as well as trying to push frustrating blobs of solder into the right place with your tip.
  2. Hi All, Up for sale as space becoming a premium in our house - babies require more room than we realised and you’re not supposed to let them sleep in a gigbag... 2010 Epiphone Thunderbird - Good condition. Made in Indonesia. Good condition, will needs a new battery and a bit of a clean. Comes with Roksak (lots of useful pockets). No idea on price. Up for £145 but please do shout of this is way off. Open to offers. Collection anytime from SE18 or Central London during the week.
  3. SOLD - To the man in the red top. Cheers Craig, enjoy and take care.
  4. Pm replied to. Yamaha nice but not for me. Price drop 325 for G&L 450 for G&L + Thunderbird
  5. How about either and G&L 2000 trib. or ebi t-bird plus cash? Or both guitars plus two gig bags and a hard case (see my post in for sale)
  6. Time to make things interesting bump; I've got an Epi Thunderbird (Sunburst) excellent condition. Happy to sell both including a gig bag for each and a Hiscox Liteflight for the G&L. £500. Happy to consider trades, jazz or p/j. Pm me with anything interesting!
  7. Thanks a lot gents. G&L tapers out wider towards the bridge that the bird. Profile of necks different too, guess I just need to play more basses and find the neck I want. Appreciate all the time and comment, cheers!
  8. Cheers gents. Ive Played a Mexican P which I found much easier than the L2k, sorely torn between bird and p-bass!
  9. So I started playing bass about 18 months ago. Playing in a blusey rock band with a couple of mates to learn our craft! I got an L2000 as my first bass which is massively versatile but the neck has always seemed a little wide/big for me. Going for along the rock route I recently picked up an Epi T'bird. For my chubby fingers I find the neck easier to get on with on the bird, problem is the ridiculous neck dive. Looked into it and found a Gib Thunderbird Studio which selling the L2000 and Epi would pay for... Had a try tonight, great bassy tone, which fits with what we play. Neck dive less of an issue (still there though) and plays pretty nicely. Bit of buckle rash, finish was ok (not a patch on the G&L) Was really taken with it when I was there, but coming home and reflecting, now not so sure. Questions: Estimates on value of Gibby? Anyone played both and have thoughts? I'd like to try a P-deluxe, would I be impressed?
  10. Ha! I'm sure I could put some strings on it for a worthy bidder. Just got back from trying out what I hope is my next bass ('06 Thunderbird Studio) but only if someone buys this!!! Trades.... Could be tempted by a T-bird or P-deluxe plus cash to you or something similar.
  11. Photos as promised. Comes with the gig bag I got it with (not the one in pictures). Reasonable condition, does the job.
