loosen the truss rod slightly?
That should be enough

Like @DarkHeartsaid Switchcraf are great. I think those are stereo barrel output jacks.

That looks a bit of (cheap) plastic, and the work dosen`t look very professional. I know the image is a bit magnified but.. i don`t know if you can call that señor a luthier. I think that depends on the context. Was this charged as low cost and fast solution or as premium service? Nonetheless, that might be a perfectly funcional nut.

Looking great! So much better now! The previous finish looked like alder but after the oil the wood grain looks more like ash. 🤔

I don't think Bartolini did themselves any favours when they introduced their budget Bart range for some of the more entry level basses; that's left a few of us, including me, wary of the brand which is a shame and perhaps unfair with regard to their higher end pick-ups.
Personally, I very much associate the classic Spector sound with EMG pups and the TonePump preamp.
Having said that the new Legend range does look great with their neck through design!
well they still have the tonePump JR but i have no ideia how these barts compare to the emg ssd ,they used do have in the legend classic. I realy like the looks but i´m having second thoughts i realy have no idea what to expect soundwise. I tried an older version with ssd inc pu´s and thought they were ok. I Read something about the barts sounding scooped and that´s not good news for me.

Dear Spector lovers, i might be joining the club one of these days i got my eye on one of the newest legend classic 5 with bartolinini soapbar PU´s. anyone tried one of those? if so what´s your opinion.

Thank you, that answers it, I have those marks so it must be cast. The only thing that made me query was its weight. On the Warwick site the brass version is shown to weigh 0.15Kgs, and mine just the bridge, without the base plate, weighs 0.156kgs. Must be a heavy alloy !
Even the alloy are very heavy bridges . A 5 string bridge, plate and screws included, should weights about 380g, while the brass one should be arround 650g

Can anyone tell me what material the 3D bridge on a '95 Warwaick Fortress One would be made of ?
Was it alloy or brass or what ?
Can´t be shure about your`s , but both my 93 thumb Bo and the 96 streamer BO, had the alloy version. Anyway, you can tell one from another by the casting marks of the alloy version.

I bought a Warwickin 1989/90...pretty sure I was informed it had a wax finish. Warwick have their tins of wax, I think it has carnauba in it and is non silicon.
The can says "To protect the surface of your oil-finished Warwick..."

I used to have one of these, but definitely a "bass of two halves" for me. One good, one not so good.
I really loved the sound of the MM p/up soloed. Downside for me was the balance - definitely neck heavy, even with lightweight tuners. The top horn being extended would have helped with that. Apart from that, it's a good bass, and you got that for a steal!
Well, on a second hand bargain like this, i would put a new strap button offset. A lot of makers do it with sucess and i find this much more effective than lightweight tuners.

Not a wood expert but, from my short experience aplying wax to raw wood, i wouldn´t expert great results. The oil penetrates much deeper in the wood showing the grain. I find wax a more a protective and textural finish So, i would go with oil and finished with wax.

I had to check the price twice. This looks much more expensive.

The fret work is impeccable.

If these are not fit for purpose, soldered or not, they should go back. Take it up with Wilkinson perhaps?
Maybe these are defective units, can hapen in any business

@A.G.E.N.T.E. You name it, I've tried it, whatever's over the BIG magnet overpowers everything else.
I'm selling them if you're interested.
Thanks, but I have no use for them.

Just installed a tcm2 on a 1999 Japanese Ibanez. Even though a mid control could have been useful, this preamp sounds great. All components feel good and very well put together overall.

This could be a dumb question but have you tried do lower the pickup on the E/A Side? Or maybe raise the the D/G.. Or maybe a bit of both until you get a more even sound.

😍gorgeous!

maybe not the "best" or the most famous cable brand, but like cordial cables with neutrick plugs. Good quality cables, Inexpensive, and well built.

Wooo... you´re a man of courage! So... how does it balance know?
I would have done it differently. I might have drilled the holes from the backside but stoped before they pass to the frontside.

I had the same issue with my 93 thumb BO5. I was using a non Warwick 135 B string and I started filing the slot a bit and it solved the problem. Anyway I bought the newer version of the tailpiece because I wanted black hardware. The new version solved the problem.

Fret buzz on first fret E string
in Repairs and Technical

Assuming neck and frets are OK, before adding a bit of curve to the neck, I would make shures all the strings are following de radius of the fretboard at the same height. You might have your E string lower than the others. Then I would check the neck relief.
