1. I'd just like to give a shout out to Hiscox cases. A great product that is light and durable and as effective as those heavy old fashioned flight case cases of days past. After a trip from Brazil, my Hiscox case saved a bass from annihilation. I told hiscox about it, and also told them I'd lost the keys and wanted to buy a new set. They sent me a new set the next day free of charge. tip: If you are flying and intend to put you bass in the hold, it's a good idea to slacken everything off; strings, truss rod etc Particularly if you're going to a hot country. The hold in a plane drops way below freezing, then when the bass is removed into a hot climate...well you know how wood behaves..
 2.
I like to think most of the members of BC are a fairly intelligent bunch.
.....but they're bass players.....
 3.
Folks wishing to sell would be best advised to create the best, most informative and attractive ads possible; it's in their interest. Why don't they, some of 'em..? Dunno; I'd just move on to a more informative ad and not buy. Darwin will sort out the rest, maybe..?
yep... it is nuts, specially selling an instrument. Personally, I'm not into buying an instrument new or used without trying it first. Even the big reputable brands are inconsistent, that's the nature of the beast. ... even a proximity of the location gives us a clue to whether it's even worth considering.

 7.
Modern = contemporary, not antiquated... up to date. In my opinion relevance is more important than being modern as modern has a close association with that which is currently fashionable. Modern bass player = up to date, contemporary and closely aligned to current trend (even if that is a trend for old technology or ideology) Relevant bass player = meaningful and impactive (often regardless of the norm or current trend)
................oooops, nodded off there.......

 16.
Beautiful guitar, but it's a Dot 335 - the 355 was a slightly more luxurious version. ☺
its an ES 335 Dot Not really into guitar that much but I guessed people who are would know. If it was a Gibson 335 you'd have to add a zero to the price I guess. I didn't realise Ephiphone had a 335 that isn't called Dot. I'll change the top post...thanks for the heads up.
 17. no blurb about this - just a great bass. particularly good example lovely bit of wood, beautiful grain...2 piece body Great condition I'll try get better pics up later, but these for now.
 18. Epiphone Dot ES 355 semi acoustic Jazz guitar vintage sunburst beautiful looking thing, great action and intonation, vintage jazz sound, great to play if you can. I cant, that's why I'm selling it! NB: the photo of the back of the headstock which is in perfect condition shows reflections making it look a bit weird. Collection from Westcliff on Sea in Essex. trades considered : G5 power mac running the latest system would be nice Imac if it runs the latest logic X software basses considered or related stuff like a good dual band compressor
 19.
If you're on the full website is shows peoples locations on the left hand side of their post under their username..
only if they've input the info in their profile which isn't always the case, even gary mac (a couple of posts above), one of the mods, has put his location as 'not up north'
 20.
Shonks, I've moved this to GD. For what it's worth, I think sellers should put a location, particularly if it is collection only. My feeling is that it should not be mandatory though.
posted in the wrong forum....apologies
 21. To the moderators of this excellent site: Forgive for saying so, and forgive me if its been said previously, but don't you think it should be mandatory for sellers to clearly state the location of an item that's for sale? Price is mandatory and equally important to all parties is the location. If no location is mentioned, as is often the case, going to the sellers profile can be equally frustrating, and a bit questionable, when there's little no information other than a username. In fact I'm surprised a site such as this doesn't insist on the location information in the profile to begin with, seeing as how large sums of money or valuable instruments are be traded. Still a great site nevertheless Shonks
