YAMAHA BBP34 MIDNIGHT BLUE PRO SERIES MADE IN JAPAN - TRADES I got a BBP34 this year and was so impressed I ended up buying two ( I do prefer the sunburst though only slightly ) - one for flats one for wounds. I will always have one in the stable as I believe they are the one of the finest traditional sounding basses ive played but having two is maybe a bit excessive. Used it only for studio work; no dents on the body some signs of use though and a small nick on headstock (pictured) perfectly balanced with I.R.A. treated wood. build quality is second to none and overall precision is next or higher than Fender custom shop/ new special musicman etc which you can see when you closely inspect it. These have a really hefty retail; and don't come up for sale much. dual action truss rod that is really easy to dial in and makes achieving perfect flatness with no fuss (used labella heavy and ultralights elixirs on this and setting the neck was insanely easy and quick) So i'm considering letting this go in favour for a trade and see if there's anything out there to expand the collection. Trades: of equal or higher value (I have cash to add if needed) show me what you got, wouldn't mind something modern, fretless or even a bit wacky. Comes with the premium Yamaha mega case and with all manuals, ownership certificate and tools et. IMG_8784.psd

Got this not too long ago - used only in studio for recording in comfort. As new. No dents. No scratches. Case queen. Super lightweight for a stingray. Mint case and all candy. Still smells new 😄 Nowt wrong with it - just reaching for my 02 old stingray more. Putting this out there to see if anyone wants a trade for a stingray 5 or maybe a classic. paid £1900 on wills site + added 100 for a fret stone and dress from Chris mcentyer (sei bass, who’s now in Edinburgh, used to be London based and is a renowned luthier) which means you can slam the action down to as low as the saddle will let you. I promise. price is a guide as id rather trade. But I think it’s fair. I think. I have two stingrays (a 2002 which I prefer) as you may know these are technically superior to the pre special stingrays. Extremely light, a much more refined pre, and roasted neck with perfect balance, SS frets the list goes on. hoping if anyone have an older stingray 5 to trade. Cash adjustment depending on condition etc. ideally after one of the 00’s builds (the ones with the tapered fret ends - if you know you know) using wills photos at the moment but I’ll get my own stunning photography up later lol. gimme a shout for more details. Come over for a tea and neerd out gear session I have years of feedback on BC. all the best guys!

thanks man will do! I’m genna head over to his and take a look. he’s never taken the neck off… so can’t confirm the date. I might see if he’s willing to let me do that… I found this sold on will’s site which essentially looks very similar with the white covers. which is reassuring. again thank you for the knowledge and advice. https://bassbros.co.uk/sold-basses/1981-fender-precision-bass/ -

NBD - Cort GB modern; GUITARGUITAR sale

I made a little recording sound is mixed for smartphone speakers 💀 but you get the idea 😅 -
I picked this up today and man it’s sooo good and so cheap £699. Just couldn’t resist at that price. after setting up, cutting the nut and dialling in my preferred set up I gotta say it genuinely embarrasses my other basses in the rack which at at a minimum cast twice as much. How is this fair ha. sounds a like a modern jazz, slightly darker, with slightly more tamed mids than my STD jazz 04 but with the active EQ you can of course sculpt it however you want. regardless of all the top level level parts the fretwork is really quite astounding- it’s been nicely levelled so you drop the action down crazy low (okay probably too low right now I’m just excited) and the ends are filed into nice sausages and polished. I’ll do so recording for my Instagram and uploading it here if anyone is interested:) I think if I had to have a life or death bass off where I had to slap tastelessly and overplay in order to stay alive I’d be using this ha

Got this a couple years ago at GuitarGuitar secondhand - so taking a loss priced to sell and will entertain offers and trades. good condition - no major bumps. both the truss rods work as expected and neck is dead straight. If you want to hear how these sound check out CharlesBerthoud YT he’s used on a lot. And there’s loads of good demos online. neck is smooth. Frets ends are individually crowned and rounded off in a lovely way - which I’ve learned isit even the case when you spend thousands. 😿 it’s heavy. It’s a beastly sounding bass - if you can handle a 6! I’ll get an weight if anyone is interest Tuners Schecter Fretboard Material Rosewood Neck Material Maple/Walnut Multi-ply w/ Carbon Fiber Reinforcement Rods Inlays Abalone Offset Dots Scale 35" (889mm) Neck Shape Thin "C" Thickness @ 1st Fret- .787" (20mm)/ @ 12th Fret- .866" (22mm) Frets 24 X-Jumbo Fretboard Radius 16" (406mm) Nut Graph Tech XL Black Tusq Nut Width 2.125" (54mm) Truss Rod Dual Truss Rods- 2-Way Adjustable Rod w/ 5/32" (4mm) Allen Nut BODY Guitar Colors Honey Satin (HSN) Hardware Color Satin Gold Top Contour Flat Top Dexterity Right Handed Construction Neck-Thru w/Ultra Access Body Material Mahogany Top Material Bubinga Bridge Diamond Custom Bass ELECTRONICS Controls Master Volume/Blend/3-Band EMG Active E/Q Bridge Pickup EMG 45HZ Neck Pickup EMG 45HZ Battery Compartment 18-volt w/Screw Plate

Just picked up a BBP34 Jeez this thing sounds fantastic. I’m officially a convert now. Sounds more like a P bass than a P bass somehow, and the jazz PU at the back is just perfect. Snappy and sharp sounding but still reads nicely as a bass sound. So fast and fun to play and it’s put together so well. im really considering buying another one to put flats on I like it so much. Only downside for me is those fret ends are a bit sharp/poky for me. They look great and have been nicely finished in a way (it’s no dog like a fender) but still bit sharp. I have ultra sensitive skin tho. No worries I’ll grab a file 🤘 best sounding bass on my rack.

Hey got some measurements. Nut: 43mm 12th: 56mm weight: coming up 4kg to 4.2kg. They are cheapo luggage scales so not an exact figure but I measured about 5 times and they were all around that number. Radius, I can’t measure it, but i took an photo with the ruler balanced in the middle of fingerboard 🧑🔬. Maybe that helps. -
Picked this up out of curiosity to spend some time with Leo’s last hurrah and because it was a bargain, but unfortunately it’s just not for me. Selling what I paid (which is very low) but I’m not a flipper!! So passing it on at the same price. Trade wise value I’d say it worth a wee bit more. Weight: it’s light, I’ll get official measurement later. has a jazz style thinner neck. Extremely fast. Alder body. Comes with OHSC and certificate signed by Fender’s misses. Condition is great for age some minor knocks on body but not chipped. A knock on fingerboard but can’t feel it as it’s in bass side. (Pictured). I set it up, truss works perfectly and locking bridge etc etc. electronics are perfect. edit: collection only at the moment - don’t have a cardboard box right now… come round for a tea and chat and we can talk about gear hehe.

Want to know something sad? I got this, a 2021 anniversary USA Jazz and a MusicMan stingray special this year… all of them had sharp feet ends, unseated frets (the fenders) and all of them had high spots. So they all needed levelling and the ends re crowned. it’s just how it is with new stuff these days. I think everyone notices sharp ends, maybe not the level frets though. It took me quite a few years to start to see that - but fret work for me is so huge in determining how much you can get on with an instrument. depending where you live in the UK it’s hard to find a good tech to finish the job, here in Edinburgh I had to wait two months! Needless to say, this one here is now golden haha. shouldn’t be ranting on my own sales thread lol but my girlfriend doesn’t really care to hear me talking about fretwork 🤣🤣
