5.
Direct Link I've just spent the last hour or so browsing... I'm glad i know the Firefox Page Info trick to get the pics.
So what's the trick then? Do share...
6. Got one of these last year used it quite a lot for rehab on a bad wrist break, seem to be stuck at 10484 though, having dug it back out I'm sure i'll be vying for the Bass Chat record soon.....
7. I don't really have a "party piece" as you may say, however I'd sure like to be able to bust this out!
8. Sunday night at the 3 Kings, Twickenham. Bit of an emotional night the landlord, a close friend, has finally thrown in the towel and decided to close the doors forever... It was an awesome night 4 of the local bands (including ourselves) played for free and the place was jumping. Probably the best gig we have ever had. We thought that we had rocked the place until the headline band (Skalectrix) came on, best band I've seen this year. All in all great night (that finished at 5am), gutted another live music venue has gone!

I can only echo the comments from everyone else, Top Cables! Very quick and helpful, Thanks.
11. I always seem to be on the left hand side of the stage, always to the left of the hi-hats, there's no specific rule about it. Most of the places we play tend to have reletively small stages any other way I'd be clouting our singer in the face with the headstock!
12. Thanks for this guys, I was pretty sure I was best to go down this route but always worth checking. As to the 2 Ohm, I knew about this and really wish I could afford better cabs, I've had my eye on the Epifani UL range but, can't see this happening for quite some time Cheers, Tony
13. Hi All, I'm after a bit of advice, I am rubbish with the whole impedence thing... All I know is that in theory if you connect 2 8 Ohm cabs you should get 4 Ohm, I think I'm right. I have an EBS HD350 head that was running a Hartke 2.5XL 8 Ohm cab. I recently bought another cab the Hartke 115XL also 8 Ohm. So the question is should I be using the 2 speakon connectors on the head, 1 per cab, to get the best config; or connect a cab to 1 speakon and then use the extension jack on the cab to go speakon -> Cab -> Cab. Any help here is much appreciated. Tony
14. Hi there everyone. I’ve been incredibly rude and joined this site more as a voyeur than contributor… Well it’s about time I righted my wrong and say an official Hello, so HELLO…. I’m Tony originally from Manchester now exiled in Kingston upon Thames. I started playing bass about 2 years ago after always wanting to get into it but just never getting around to it. I joined my first covers band just over 8 months ago and we are getting a few gigs in the Twickenham area. I love playing bass and pick it up everyday. One good thing about starting playing later in life is the obvious extra money available to feed the GAS… (plus a friend who owns a guitar shop, obvious hook up's). I am now playing a Fender Marcus Miller 4 string through an EBS HD350 head and a Hartke 2.5 XL + 115 XL Cab. Well that’s me hopefully I’ve made appeasement by saying hello. Cheers, Tony
