Why the obsession with flats on a fretless? Rounds on all of mine.

Hmm... with waltzes, javas and more in some repertoires, that could get interesting..!
I have heard Delilah rendered in 4/4. Not an experience I care to repeat, there was a certain fascination to it though.

It sounds like a physical buzz. Is there a headphone output, and if so, can you hear the buzz on there? If not, could you take the effects send to something you can use headphones with and see if it still buzzes? Might just be a loose screw.

I think you'll need to spin it into thread first, so you'll need to build a spinning wheel.

David Bennett Piano - not for my non-existent keyboard skills, but his looks at chord progressions, time signatures, etc.

So what would you put in line to replace the effect of the pot? I have no idea.
A resistor of similar value to a 250k or 500k pot between signal and ground. 240k or 270k for a 250k, 470k or 510k for a 500k pot.

Would a foam pad under the head to isolate it help?

Presets would have made it killer pedal for live use. I guess we're still looking at the Source Audio EQ or a multi fx to provide that.
It was a shame that Ashdown didn't make their Superfly preamp/graphic EQ into a standalone pedal (I did suggest it to them but it fell on stony ground). Not only a programmable graphic EQ, but with the editor software you could use it as a 7 band parametric EQ.

Found one in the roland shop on denmark street!
So pleased...
Judging by the stock levels in online shops, you must have got the last one in the country.

The HX Effects has a current draw of up to 1100mA. Could you use a current doubler cable to get more than 900mA out of the power supply?

Built-in wireless - preferably modular so it can be upgraded when quantum digital wireless comes along.

I'm sure there was a better video than this but I can't find it.

Everything was digital in the 80s, then it was Titanium for a while, now it seems to be Quantum. There's even a housing estate being built near me called Quantum Fields. Whatever next, Quark Gardens?
Should be a good place to find a mechanic.

As I self-identify as 37 years old, I have a YOB Warwick Thumb. I'm just waiting for the age reassignment surgery at the moment.

I've got the 1265MS, the fancy wood version. One of the previous owners had swapped the pickups for Aguilar DCBs and they're fine - I bought it from @lowregisterhead but I think it was the original owner who did the swap.

So if you were seeking a bassist would you have one that played competently and was easy going but walked very slowly with a stick and needed help with gear?
Yes.

so would you have a disabled bassist in your band that needed help with his gear?
Well, no, but that's because my band already has a bassist. However, I've encountered both ends of the spectrum of helpfulness - current band are brilliant, I can lift and carry all my gear but there's quite a few bits as it's the PA plus my bass gear (nothing weighs more than 10kg) and they all help loading in and out. There was a band in the past that always managed to turn up later than me so I loaded all the stuff in (I had a heavier PA and bass rig then), then I would sometimes get some help loading out but never from the idle sod of a guitarist. So the answer is that it depends, if you tell them at the outset what help you'll need and also give an idea of your travelling limitations, you'll either find a great bunch of people or, er, you won't.
PS. I meant to say that my current band would be perfectly happy to have someone in who needed help with gear, but I'm not leaving... 😁

Not that big, currently 1 row of 5 pedals, but I could expand it and buy a new board frame for the right thing that allows me to lose a 2u rack case.
Couldn't you just buy a smaller head - plenty of small 500+W heads around.

Thanks for the chronology correction. Basschat is an amazing place to learn about basses….I've been playing for over 40 years and still I know nothing really. I played very frequently in a function band for years, and my bass was always the very last thing to be plugged in, after everyone else was sorted. Sound familiar to anyone?
Well, yes, mainly because I set up the PA first.

Oh, and make sure that you know who your victim will be at the start of each song, so that you can give them a dirty look every time you play a bum note.

Well, somebody's had it.

It would appear from his feedback that he's sold 4 instruments in the last year, and one of them may or may not have turned up. I wonder why he bothers.

It's gone already so it quite possibly was.

Is three or four years old "practically new"?
There's such a wide range that there could be a variety of reasons. Didn't like headless, got a 5 and didn't get on with it, got a 6 and didn't get on with it, got a 4 and wanted a 5, didn't get on with multiscale, wanted multiscale, upgraded from 10 series to 15 series, gave up bass, needed to pay a bill. Ibanez might welcome your research on the subject.
