My choice is the Ampeg SVT VR Micro amp and cab. Great Ampeg tone in a small package but not as small as some of the gear shown in this thread.

Good one. I ran one of those heads through a BF Compact for a while with good results. Great looks too.

Last night I played at Newcastle Cathedral as part of a concert raising money for a cancer charity. There was music, comedy and Christmassy stuff.

Amongst other things, we were asked if we would do Fairytale of New York with a wonderful guest vocalist. I love the song, but it's pretty complex, and we only had piano, acoustic guitar, bass and voices to make it work.

But I think it came out pretty well...

That's great, nicely done with lots of feeling. Well done ?

    Thanks for the reply.

Think I might have put this thread in the wrong section

Amps and Cabs, defo the right section for your thread. Hope you get it sorted. Ashdown have great customer service, give them a buzz.

  4. First gig with new band. Haven't gigged for about 3 years since our twin daughters were born. My goodness what a fabulous night, I love gigging and have really missed it. Fun, fun, fun.

This new band are really very technically competent and they are a blast to be with too. They are going to push me and that is something I need and want.

So yeah, a good gig ?

  5. These have always interested me, but have never actually twiddled with one. I shall be interested to hear what replies you get.

As for the extension speaker, I believe these are wired in series rather than the traditional parallel. The previous generation CB100 was like that too, with a maximum external speaker impedance of 8 ohm, rather than it being a minimum specified.

    Cheers

  6. Ditto the above. I've finally been able to access it properly and start to nose around. The UI is light years ahead and overall very slick user experience. Investigating new features slowly, but so far everything I've found has been a worthy improvement. Well done chaps, I know these things are stressful and hard work. Nicely done.

And this is my first post in the New World ?

    Cheers
