Did someone say Sue Lawley?

That's funny - all they say to me is, 'if you do that again, I'm calling the police.'
After which they then say 'Don't Stand So Close To Me...'

Last night I played at Newcastle Cathedral as part of a concert raising money for a cancer charity. There was music, comedy and Christmassy stuff.
Amongst other things, we were asked if we would do Fairytale of New York with a wonderful guest vocalist. I love the song, but it's pretty complex, and we only had piano, acoustic guitar, bass and voices to make it work.
But I think it came out pretty well...
That's great, nicely done with lots of feeling. Well done ?

Jeez - that actually went over my head!
Oh. I was tempted to make an Elf-related joke about height. Luckily I couldn't think of one, which makes me a good person.

As long as you've got your Elf, that's the main thing.

I know a band whose backline looks very much like that, even for the Dog and Duck ? x

Thanks for the reply.
Think I might have put this thread in the wrong section
Amps and Cabs, defo the right section for your thread. Hope you get it sorted. Ashdown have great customer service, give them a buzz.

First gig with new band. Haven't gigged for about 3 years since our twin daughters were born. My goodness what a fabulous night, I love gigging and have really missed it. Fun, fun, fun.
This new band are really very technically competent and they are a blast to be with too. They are going to push me and that is something I need and want.
So yeah, a good gig ?

It may be the case that inserting a jack into the FX return will break the circuit from the pre, so only the synth will be heard.
I'd use the PA anyway, for full range.

These have always interested me, but have never actually twiddled with one. I shall be interested to hear what replies you get.
As for the extension speaker, I believe these are wired in series rather than the traditional parallel. The previous generation CB100 was like that too, with a maximum external speaker impedance of 8 ohm, rather than it being a minimum specified.

Ditto the above. I've finally been able to access it properly and start to nose around. The UI is light years ahead and overall very slick user experience. Investigating new features slowly, but so far everything I've found has been a worthy improvement. Well done chaps, I know these things are stressful and hard work. Nicely done.
And this is my first post in the New World ?

Sounds like a good find. The original ad is no longer available, so any pics would be welcome.

Make sure you use an HB. 2B's are too soft.

Yeah I'd go with 150w too. Nice find, looks in great condition. Perfect colour coded guitar lead too 😎

Indeed. Landmark iconic amps if you ask me. They will always be the in demand, a shame that Orange decided to stop making them.

Ooh Komedia. Not a bad venue, what date?

Arctic White with all the chrome. There's something quite Jazztastic about that combination. And that is a beauty.
GLWTS.

In the time honoured fashion of not being able to see location on the mobile version of this site, where are you?

Good one. I ran one of those heads through a BF Compact for a while with good results. Great looks too.
