Odd really. A few years ago MB were the bastions of high quality, low weight amplification. You couldn't move without bumping into some of their gear.
Times have moved on. Now we want high quality low weight amps. Oh hold on a minute...
Maybe it's a tonal thing.
In other words, I have no idea about their cabs though. Lol.

If you do decide to whip the head out and use it with a different cab, just watch out for the head width before ordering a 2u case. Those 4x10 combos had wider amps than the normal 19inch jobbies. Something like 23 inch iirc to match the width of a typical 4x10 setup.

Had to add to this thread. After using the new site and got used to it, how did we survive before?
The look, feel, facilities, notifications are just brilliant.
Also much more responsive, which may be due to the server shift.
Well done peeps.
Cheers

Superb amp in every way.
Yes, yes, yes... And yes.
I have one too, by the way.

That reminds me of a few years ago at a pub gig in Crediton. We were well into the first set and became aware of blue flashing lights outside. Paramedics rushed in and went downstairs (where a punter had had a heart attack) just as our singer got to the line 'Doctor, doctor give me the news, got a bad case of loving you'!
Blimey. Lucky it wasn't that Queen song... 😎

Second outing with a new band I joined back in September. These guys are a real blast and know their stuff, so it's good for me to pushed to improve - which is just what I want.
New venue for me, great crowd, dancing from the first song onwards. I came home with a real buzz 😀
Three weeks til the next gig and I can't wait.

I'd suggest the Vintage V4. I've owned a couple and both were solid, reliable great sounding instruments. My Tony Butler version looked particularly lovely in gloss black and maple board.

Trace, Elliot and Jack. Three Perfect Cousins.
Apologies to the Undertones.
Can't wait to read your words on those fellas!

Quote, or what? And those watts being farmed by Mr Green. I wonder if he got an EU subsidy for them?

That's interesting as there is an Eminence 3012HO in my BFM Jack 12. I'll try it tomorrow when everyone's out of the house - too much TV watching going on to make a racket this evening. If the combo proves too heavy, a 200W Trace head with my BFM may be the answer.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on that pairing. I discovered this particular route a few years back and have never wanted for anything else. Although mine is the 15 driver, but I reckon they won't be miles apart.
Awaiting your feedback, if you will excuse the saying.

My backline for a number of years has been a Series 6 AH200 or an SM250 through a cab with the venerable Eminence 3015. Works for everything I do and jolly easy to lug about.
I have no gear GAS.

I told my darling wife I wanted nothing music related this Christmas.
I got a Christmas jumper and a 'worlds best bass player mug' , amongst other delights. I'm happy, now that it's out there.....

If they had made it larger it could no longer be called an Elf. The next size up would have to be a Gnome, according to my extensive knowledge and research of Ben and Holly on CBEEBIES.
Trace Elliot Gnome? No way José. Marketing would never allow such design principles to win through...

These amps are ideally matched to woofers.

Are asbo lootly sure that the previous owner didn't leave his pet Chihuahua in the back of the cab ?
My wife once left a handbag in the back of a cab. 😎
But never a dog.

I've got a Peavey TNT160 combo that smells of curry. Anyone interested?
Ooh that's rice up my street...

I know some think these amps are the dogs doodahs, but that's just fanboi-ism lol.
Apparently there's a good amp tech in Kennelworth. Or is it Barking? I forget...
Seriously though, have you had it apart and looked and cleaned inside? Wasn't sure if the hoovering was just external.
Could be a bone of contention...
I'm sorry. 😎

After owning a couple of 5 strings I now only own a 4 string P, tuned B E A D.
Now I use the whole fingerboard and find those five lower notes gained waaay more useful than the five highest notes lost.
Something I've been toying with trying...

Exclusively 4 for me, though that is somewhat bigging me up as most of the time I only use 2.
Two? You show-off 😎
