1. Hi I will be at the show for the full three days and will be launching my two new guitar models. Also a selection of basses on had to try out as well. Alan http://www.edinburgh...cfestival.co.uk
2. I have a few EQ02 preamps on sale just now that could be fitted to this bass.
3. The neck pickup has a 10db boost at the cut off frequency of the filter. The bridge pickup has a 4db boost at the frequency cut off.
4. What he said. The upper ring adds a boost at the cut of frequency of the filter which is set by the lower ring. The lower ring does not add bass as you turn it ACW it reduces the higher frequencies the bass is always present it is the higher frequencies that you either let through the filter or don't. To increase the baas the upper ring will boost which ever frequency you select with the lower ring. So if the lower ring is fully anti clockwise you can boost the area between 70 and 100 Hz.
5. Is this still available.
6. I have in conjunction with John East and Aaron Armstrong been developing a multi coil pickup with two coils per string. This is connected to the preamp via an electronic mixing board. They have been designed to work in conjunction with the new 03 dual filter preamp. However it is not an attempt to copy the Wal pickup it will be in the ballpark but we did not reverse engineer a pickup and to be honest nor would I even if I could. As you would expect these pickups are not cheap with a lot of work involved in building them but having spent some time with the prototypes they are worth the effort.
7. I had a Chris Eccleshall bass made which had the pickups/preamp and bridge supplied by Pete. The sound is down to the pickup and pre-amp combination the rest of the instrument is fairly standard in construction and materials. Pete showed me all the parts in the pickup when I was down picking up my 4 string. He also had a six string with a passive version of the pre-amp which sounded really good but I don't know if that was ever taken anywhere.
8. Round two at the London Bass Guitar Show. A good day yesterday the noise issue was much better than last year in our part of the hall so that made for a far less tiring day. Also made talking to potential customers much easier and more productive. Show special offer on the Graft Recurve 5 left hander. Down to £600.00 for the day. This offer applies on line as well so feel free to message me or drop me a mail.
