1. I originally had a limelight maybe 18 months ago was a P bass olympic white over sunburst heavy relic foolishly sold it,

so have taken the plunge and just placed an order for a medium to heavy relic 63P in burgundy mist with matching headstock and rosewood board, have to say once again Mark has been excellent to deal with lead time 12 weeks now for the worst bit the waiting

  2. For sale Squier Mike Dirnt precision bass, this is only 2 weeks old bought to use as a back up however I now don't need this, so am going to move it on.

The bass has never been out of the house still has the plastic covering on the pickups.

Was sold by Thomann as B stock which is ex demo model however the only issue I can find is on the fretboard where the rosewood is slightly lighter in colour on one patch to the edge of the board.

Paid £195 2 weeks ago for this so will take £165 posted and I'll throw in a generic hard case, if you want to collect price is £150 , bass is in Wigan

This plays really nicely and is certainly a lot of bass for the money another example of really good standard bass from Squier.

  3. For Sale is my Ampeg BA300115 complete with Roqsolid cover, extremely portable combo casters fitted around 40lbs in weight been gigged but is in excellent condition, have attached all technical blurb/spec from Ampeg below.

At 40 lbs., the Ampeg BA300/115 combo redefines the term, "portability." Although it packs a 15" LF driver, an HF horn (with Level control), and 300 watts of pure Ampeg output into just over four cubic feet, the BA300/115 is ultra-transportable. And you get all the Ampeg tone-shaping you've grown accustomed to, thanks to its 12AX7 tube preamp, Style control, 3-Band EQ, and Ultra-High/Low switches. The BA300 isunmatched for tonal versatility.

The Ampeg BA300/115 is ideal for the semi-pro to professional player seeking superb tone-sculpting options, extreme portability, and SVT-level output.

Looking for £250, prefer collection as i don't have suitable box etc to courier at the moment although may be able to meet halfway, Combo is in Wigan Lancs and i could be persuaded to deliver in and around the North West. Not looking for any trades at the moment as i've just bought a new amp.

will add photos later any other questions feel free to ask

    Cheers Steve

Very nice - mind if I ask how you managed to get a decal for the headstock? as I've considered the same thing myself.

Dave sorted it out for me i believe the guy he uses takes a photo of the decal and replicates it

  5. I had been thinking about getting my Lakland BG refinished for a while as it is the one bass i'll never sell and i'd always wanted one in olympic white and they don't do a skyline in this colour and i can't justify paying £2000 plus for a USA, So when my bass got dropped after a gig and got quite badly damaged on the bottom edge i decided to take the plunge.

Having done a bit of research on here i decided to go with Dave Wilson after seeing some pictures of his work and testimonials and recommendations from basschat members.

I asked Dave to repair and refinish it in Olympic White with matching headstock and also make me a white pearl guard to fit, having seen the bass Dave suggested he did the white with a vintage tint to match the creamy colour of the sheet of pearl for the guard. Thankfully i took his advice and to me the result is stunning, everything i could have asked for and more.

Dave has been excellent throughout the process keeping me informed with updates and pictures, he obviously takes great pride in his work and all i can say is if anyone is looking to have a bass refinished you should definitely contact Dave as i can't recommend him highly enough.

Anyway enough of the waffle i have attached a couple of before and after pictures, what i will say is that my appalling photographic skills do not do Daves work justice.

First the bass in original form

Then after Dave has worked his magic

  6. For me the Lakland BG'S are ther best precisions out there i have had 2 both have been superb basses, i only sold my Black one as it seemed daft having 2 identical basses, i'm currently having the Sunburst refinished in Olympic White, not particularly cost effective but that's irrelevant as it is the one bass i will never sell.

Would love to be able to justify a US one one day

    Cheers Steve
