1. For sale is my Maruszczyk Jake in Redburst with a matching headstock and ebony board which I bought as stock about 9 months ago as a result of reading the reviews on here.

I have to say I have not been disappointed the bass is excellent and so much so I bought another however I am now putting this up for sale to fund a custom build from Maruszczyk.

The bass is in excellent condition and has the haeussel pick ups which give it a lovely vintage vibe nice and light at just under 8lbs. Comes with a Maruszczyk gig bag .

The full spec is

Body : Alder with flamed maple top and back
Neck : Hard rock maple with matching headstock
Fingerboard : Ebony 21 frets
Nut Width : 40mm
Construction : bolt on
Pick guard : black
Pick ups : Haeussel P+JJ
Electronics : passive volume Volume Tone
Hardware : black

Price is inclusive of postage not really looking for any trades at the moment as the sale is to fund a custom build.

Bass is in Wigan in the North West happy for people to come and try it out also happy to meet up within reason.

2. Which is how i came to be the owner of said lovely white/maple Jake haha, to be honest that is going nowhere i also have a redburst which will probably go up for sale pretty soon.

i was looking at the new Lakland PJ in black/ Rosewood with blocks binding and matching headstock which was stunning , then i looked at the price of a skyline and it was a no brainer hence the e mail to Adrian

Hi Karl hope you're well sorry original gigbag is long gone must admit I'm surprised this hasn't sold at the price probably says a lot about the state of the market at the moment

I know Dave Wilson personally and his work is second to none!

Do you have an accurate weight (I'll be the first of the 'weight challenged' shoulder injured bassists to ask)?
I can vouch for that it's a superb job it's got a proper vintage look about it the photos don't do the colour justice

Not sure about the weight I will try and get an accurate measure and let you know it's not the lightest though which is one of the reasons I've gone with the maruszczyk

Cheers Steve

5. Difficult to do this but I'm putting up for sale is my Lakland Bob Glaub Precision, I didn't think this day would come as I've had this bass from new having bought it from bass central in Florida, however the purchase of 2 new Maruszczyk jakes means something has to go as I just can't justify 3 basses.

The bass was refinished about 2 years ago in Olympic white with a matching headstock by Dave Wilson who also made me a white pearl pick guard to compliment the bass. The finish was superb as I'm sure many people on here will testify to the quality of Daves work.

The bass has one small chip on the bottom edge one of the perils of having been my main gigging bass for the last 5 or 6 years. I have tried to show this in the pictures however my photographic skills are notoriously bad !!!!

This is the Korean version and is fitted with Laklands Hanson pick ups, currently fitted with Lakland medium Gauge flats. I may be biased but I personally think these are as good a precision as there are out there.

Looking for £450 including postage or if you want to collect £430

Bass is located in Wigan up in the North West

Please feel free to ask if you have any questions

Cheers Steve

6. Martin bought my Ashdown Combo absolute pleasure to deal with as usual even though my back has only just recovered from trying to lift the flight case into his car.

Deal with confidence absolute gent

7. Bought a bass off Michael absolute trouble free transaction , great communication and bass arrived superbly packaged and just as described looked even better in the flesh.

Wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again

Thanks again Michael

They are. I had to let me lovely aged brown strap go with my Oly Jake.

Hmm.. what colour should I ask to be included with my new Jake...?
Extremely happy i am with it too both bass and strap :D :D

I'm in excatly the same boat with mine. So much so I think I'm going to sell my BG.
I'm the same really don't need 3 basses but i've had the BG from new and spent quite a bit getting it refinished by Dave Wilson not sure i can bring myself to sell it tho even tho i can't see it getting any use for the foreseeable, think i'll pack it away for a while.

10. I have used my Lakland BG almost exclusively to gig for the last 5 years never found anything that came close no matter what i tried , have to say bought one of these as stock off the website so good not used the Lakland since and have just bought WOT's White Jake as well.

These are amazing basses at the price point quality of build, attention to detail and the hardware is superb to get this quality elsewhere i suggest you would pay a substantially higher price.

i'm aware everything is subjective but i'd be suprised if anyone ordering one of these basses either stock or as a custom build was disapointed

Cheers Steve

11. Up for sale is my Ashdown ABM 210 500 EVO 11 Combo spec is outlined below :

This has been gigged extensively but is in decent condition comes with the ashdown 4 way footswitch, there is a wheeled flightcase as well should anyone want it bit battered but fully functional , i have never used the flight case as it's a bit cumbersome.

I love the tone of this amp classic ABM only reason i'm selling is i have bought a fender rumble as i needed something lighter for ease of transport

Due to weight and size i can't really post combo is in Wigan in the North West post code is WN5 9HX

For anyone who doesn't mind the weight this is a great combo at the price

I will add some photos later today if you have any other questions please drop me a pm

12. Wanted a PJ for a new project and as an alternative to my Bob Glaub been watching the thread with interest and based on the comments about people's experience and quality of the instruments decided to order a jake from stock.

Buying experience was excellent bass arrived 3 days after ordering it

First impressions really light, excellent finish quality hardware , haussel pick ups are really hot , neck slimmer and shallower than I would normally choose but found it really easy to get used to

Used at rehearsal last night sounded great in a full band setting, normally use flats but have left the rounds on and am liking the contrast.

Sorry about the poor quality pictures but you get the idea
